how's everyone feeling for this race?
Its a track i like to hotlap, no so much to race, almost impossible to overtake unless dive bombing on chicane or hairpin.

Im not particularly confident for this race as its a track i've never been particularly good at, and that doesn't play to Nissan's strengths.

Did my first practice laps last night. I quite enjoyed the rhythm through the esses. What lap times we looking at? There are hotlap videos on YT with 1:58 and even a 1:57... I know that's not relevant for a 90min race, but boy, I am far far away from that.

those times are made in perfect conditions and by some seriously quick aliens and minmaxed setups.

I think i can do something like a 2m flat on a very good day. Honestly i can't remember now.
The right car and setup goes a long way here.

@Battenberg @Ricardo Macieira I'd like to be dropped to the reserves list and free the space for other drivers. My priorities changed since the start of the season and I'd rather not take up space as a full time driver and not show up.

This will be my first race with my new wheel. Coming from t500rs to ts-xw i should suffer less of heat even if i m going to wear gloves to avoid to ruin the alcantara.

I tried to boot ACC earlier and it crashed on me twice. When i finally got it working, it was on different graphics settings to what I had set when we did this test race and i cba setting it back to where it was, it was already freezing randomly then

I have the same issue, the game freeze for x seconds and then you are teleported to where your car should have gone?
Try the following:

turn off steam overlay in ACC properties in your steam library
deactivate full screen optimization in the properties of ACC.exe compatibility tab
optimize/defrag your ssd/hdd
exit one drive or any other cloud based software
sfc /scannow in case all other didnt solve and all your drivers are up to date.

I lived with this issue untill now, i could avoid it during league race hopefully. What i did as workaround during league was coming during practice and there do laps and brake with my foot on clutch when it happened then continue untill the whole track is loaded in memory (dont forget to get in pit in some track as it is also a point of freeze). Then during race no freeze at all. I think this is due to ue4 engine texture streaming. Or maybe hotness im still clueless as you can read but i hope those steps above helped.

Edit: turn off shadowplay and nvidia overlay and same for any overlay application.

Have done about 5 laps of practice i think and those laps weren’t really competitive. Just happy to keep it on the road tonight.
