well this sucks, but I can't race tonight either. Turns out trying to get ready to go live with a major customer on a different continent during a pandemic isn't as easy as you'd think....

Came into the drivers briefing with only 12 laps of practice (2 of which started with me taking the "full" Le Mans layout :dead:) and along with @Taorminator we just turned up for some fun, it wouldn't matter if we finished first or last, we just wanted to have some battles with everyone else. @FuBii unsurprisingly on pole position with a great lap. I had a great start in Race 1 and overtook @FuBii around the outside at T1/T2 and then felt pretty comfortable just cruising in the 1:43/1:44s and I was surprised @Puffpirat / @FuBii / @Eugene Flerko weren't on my tail pressuring me. I had an awful start in Race 2, or really a great start but too great it was much quicker than @Puffpirat so I just ran straight into the back of him :banghead: I think I was P14 at some point after this and had to slowly fight my way through. I managed to pull off a nice move on @Puffpirat around the outside after the chicane near the end of the lap before he cleverly nipped into the pits as I completed the move. I had a gap of 20s when he left the pits so I knew I had to pull a few seconds to this to be safe. I eventually caught @t0daY and after he pitted the gap was around 18s - again I knew this was a minimum to come out behind him, a 20s gap would be ideal. I kept pushing and eventually pitted with 6/7mins to go and managed to come out 1s ahead of @t0daY. Close the last few laps but luckily I had enough pace, especially on the straights to stay ahead. Amazingly ending the night with 2 wins and a fastest lap.

First of all - congrats @Puffpirat on the drivers championship! Thoroughly deserved and adds another big virtual trophy to that enormous virtual trophy cabinet. And also congrats to @Puffpirat and @t0daY for beating us in the teams championship. Close fight all season guys as we expected from Race 1. This season has been mixed for me. Nothing was wrong with how this season was structured etc. it was just that I lost the buzz for this game and I've found it hard to motivate myself to even turn up (most of the motivation coming from ensuring I give @Taorminator the season-long commitment he deserves and to RSR for the commitment that I signed up for). Having spent so much of the past 6 months competing in iRacing events, I have somewhat struggled with both the adaptability of going between the two "sims" constantly and also juggling the time required that is necessary to compete to a level I know I can achieve. Some of the battles I have had this season on track however have been great, especially given that a lot of these battles have been with those who I never normally get the pleasure of battling e.g. @FuBii, @Eugene Flerko, @miagi to name a few. However - I am glad to see the season come to a close and an end to a chapter in my "sim racing career" and fully invest into the next chapter.

I found the RSR community when getting tired of dominating public lobbies or getting smashed to bits at any sign of close racing. I joined just in time for Season 4 in the GTE's, I was partnered with @fab. ICEMAN (turns out he was an alien ). I had a fast reality check when my days of cruising to wins in public lobbies turned into mega fights for p8-p20 - the guys ahead were out of this world (@Puffpirat, @ProjectPD, @fab. ICEMAN, @Alex Salmon, @Nighttiger, @t0daY etc.). Finding I had a lot of room for improvement and realising there was another level, I set to work on improving the many different aspects of my driving. Over the seasons, I had slowly improved and the results being achieved were averaging higher with each season until eventually winning the drivers championship in Season 8 and completing a double driver/team championship wins in Season 9. Over the past seasons, my main "rival" has been @Puffpirat and as he is always a benchmark for pace, you know it takes the best performance to beat him. Always clean, always fair, always alien-like fast - a worthy opponent even on his worst night but I am proud to say that I have had those nights where I have beaten the legend himself fair and square (and one of the few people to say they have unlapped themselves from @Puffpirat ;)). Another racer who deserves a massive shout-out is @Taorminator - the perfect teammate! We are incredibly always so closely matched on pace, we like the exact same responses in the handling of a car and also between us removed all egotistical aspects of our team relationship. We have spent most the our time as teammates within seconds of each other on track and yet nothing negative has ever happened. Another guy that has progressed similar to myself and is continuing to progress with his consistency, raw speed and his ability to setup a car (now beginning to become one of the best!). Now I have managed to get him to take the plunge into iRacing, I am excited for the days we can be teammates, just this time, sharing the same car. I could write paragraphs about many of you on here but to every single racer that I have raced against on Project CARS 2 - it has been a pleasure and an honor. The RSR staff; @t0daY, @Battenberg, @Darksi, @Raigore, @Ricardo Macieira in particular who have ran the Project CARS side of things - a huge thank you for every minute of effort you invest into this community.

My spent time on PC2 hasn't come without any achievements, looking back... quite a few! To list all of the big ones below - not including some of the good results in ranked events and other fun series.

My future will now be representing RSR on iRacing from ranked events throughout the week on my own to the team endurance events at the weekends with various team mates from within our community. I have been blessed to have had a good start in my first 6 months of iRacing, winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans and having many other memorable moments (both good and bad!). I have set myself some personal targets on what I would like to achieve before 2021 on the service and I am excited to push to see if I can meet my own goals. A special thank you to those that always tune into my streams to support - @FuBii, @Pierre CREUSEVAULT, @grobi0815 to name a few - hope you and many others will continue to follow me on this next chapter. (twitch.tv/catchaglimpse).

Maybe I will get swayed by a future PC2 event... who knows?! But for now... I look forward to the future days I get the chance to race you race against you guys again.

You are a great teammate @CatchAGlimpse and always generous enough to pass on a setup even when you’re not. Really wish I had the time to work on improving the way you have, as I think with more effort I could get closer to your times. Best of luck with your IRacing efforts. Hopefully see you on track again someday.

My first qualifying lap was a bit messy so I spent the remaining minutes trying to beat it. Wasn't happening, even though i was .4s faster in the first sector. oh well, still good enough for pole.

First race, I got mugged by @CatchAGlimpse off the line who held his position beautifully on the outside of T2 to get past in T3. *OMG I forgot about that move on @t0daY

I then lost time fending off @Puffpirat. He got past eventually under braking if I remember correctly (will go through my steam & clip things later). I was able to follow him close enough to take advantage of the only mistake I've seen puffi make .

I then set about trying to close the 3s gap to @CatchAGlimpse, but he was lapping so consistently I was only able to chip away a tenth here & there, I did manage to get the gap down to 1.3s as we crossed the line.

Feature race, I was able to take advantage of the chaos at the start to gain a few positions.

Though when I caught up to the lead group & couldn't make any headway I decided to hit the pitlane early, @Eugene Flerko must have had the same idea as he did the exact same to put in some clean fast laps to get ahead. Unfortunately my only move took place just as @Puffpirat left the pit lane with me looking to take the outside line in T2. I had to abandon the move & get hard on the brakes to avoid a collision, I lost the rear trying to brake & turn simultaneously, I think tapping eugene as I skated off track. Luckily I got control before the wall & the gravel & was able to catch both into T4 as they both went in deep fighting each other. I wasn't quite quick enough pulling away to be able to close the door on puffi who had the inside line into T5. Hanging around outside to avoid contact @Eugene Flerko made his move following puffi, unfortunately as the track was shrinking I tried to pull off the kerb & the old sticky doors sent us pirouetting. I almost retired the car such was my disbelief. Slapped myself. Carried on.

Some 17s down I knew I had to try to regain as many places as possible to @Explousion to be in with a chance of staying above him in the championship. Sadly I found him parked in the barrier at T2 as I passed. Cruised home. Pitted at the end to take fresh tyres to go for the fastest lap, stupidly didnt have tyres selected in the strategy -_-

Having come off the back of one of my best racing seasons with RSR in the mighty Merc I had high expectations in this one to at *LEAST* achieve another podium. What I didn't expect was to be claiming 4 pole positions, (@CatchAGlimpse took the other 2) & several fastest laps along the way. Silverstone in the wet.... Must be something about that place, my first podium with RSR came here waaaay back in the first Revolution Cup. It's been a long since then, but I managed to claim another podium! This time though, I wasn't chasing @JustG & @Battenberg, it was @Puffpirat & @miagi.
Imagine my excitement when I was able to claim a 2nd place at the next race!
Absolute elation in the 4th round, I think I got the grand slam, Pole, 2 wins & fastest laps in both races.
My controller had done its job, it allowed me to improve & become more consistent to the point I could challenge at the front. Though I can also thank iRacing & the 24h le man's as most of the front runners spent time (rightfully) focusing on that.
Unfortunately after this round, somehow sensing I'd achieved the best, decided to start giving faulty signals.. every so often it would double shift, going up the box wasn't so bad... but when it happened going down the box, painful isn't quite strong enough... trying to get into 3rd & finding yourself in 1st, 20 engine damage & off track.... 2 more rounds, please survive that long.

Here we are, at the end of another Revolution Cup. Massive congrats to everyone who participated, notably our reserve driver @miagi who raced in every event ahaha. As always "Congrats Puffi" on the championship  & together with @t0daY on the Team Championship! **Just seen the results table, I secured 3rd place?! wowo_O
Currently I am on the verge of retiring the game, sending it to the dark hole of 'completed' games in my steam collection as I look to get involved in the other sim's RSR plays with, most notably ACC. AMS2, sadly, isn't quite there yet imo for league racing.
I am also planning on upgrading (FINALLY) the right way. Straight from controller to proper rig & wheel, Puffi's answer to my question last night may have swayed me to skip the Fanatec 2.5 base & go straight to DD. This will actually be a Christmas to look forward to now hehe.

Amazing words Catch, very flattering, not just for me! @FuBii @CatchAGlimpse @Explousion @Taorminator @Eugene Flerko you've all been great opponents this season, every race was as hard as the next one! @t0daY been a great teammate as always, beat me more often than I'd like to admit :D

Would be kinda sad to see pc2 go from our roster. I hope we can give it another season before we switch to something like AMS2, to give it more time to grow to our needs. Thanks for the great season guys!

A positive ending !

My quali wasn't exaclty on point : @FuBii kindly share his Sprint setup which i adapted to quali and the expectations were good as i was on the 1:42.XX during Free Practice. Once quali started, i could find the same pace and ended up somewhere around P8. I had forgotten that in quali the fuel is automaticaly set to 21L (Almost as much as my Sprint setup fuel !).

Race 1 : I was struggling finding grip during the previous races so i decided to try launching in second gear... what a mistake :banghead: The car didn't launched at all and i lost several places in the process (You gotta learn the hard way). Trying to recover from my disastrous start, i kept focused and gained places here and there till P9, just to lose it against @The Breeze (if i remember correctly). Being 10th on the grid, i knew my position was at risk, and that risk appeared in the form of @hinesy32 who had an incredible pace. That was a very good fight but somehow i managed to keep position and finished P10.

Race 2 : For the first time in my RSR career i was able to say i started first  (Even if it's due to a reversed grid, i'll take it ! :D). With a good start, i benefited from the melee to start bulding a gap, which was essential before the Aliens start overtaking me. And boy, there were a lot of them ! Starting with @t0daY who was lapping a full second faster than me and quickly took the first place, then with @CatchAGlimpse @miagi and @Taorminator (you both had a very good fight !). I went to the pits and, surprinsingly, left in 8th position (i was expecting to exit between P10 and P12 tbh). That motivated me to try improving my laps, which proved useful later as an incident granted me P5. I was confindent in catching @Taorminator who was 4 seconds in front with a slighly slower pace, but it was not for long as the Alien of Aliens @Puffpirat blasted through (I was shocked when i saw your braking at the double right hander ). Back in P6 i tried to keep focused as i knew @FuBii was quickly approaching during the last 10 minutes. I finished 6th in that race, my best performance of all feature races.

There was a lot of first time for me in this season : First time i started in the first place, first time i completed all the races and first time i finished in the top 10 for the championship ! I was very pleased to share this season with @xIbraGiox as a teammate : we had a very balanced team, having only one point difference between us from Race 1 to Race 5. The setups suited us well and we shared some good fights throughout the season, especially against @daniel v and @Born2BSlow .

It was also a good opportunity for me to look back a what happened since my beginings at RSR last year : I started with the LMP3 Cup 6 and gained places little by little. I also had good team mates during that time, with a special mention for my internship at Stickos Madness Motorsport alongside @Taorminator and @Corentin_Bergès :p ! Following @CatchAGlimpse 's statement, I think it is a good time for me to say good bye to Project Cars 2 and get my hands properly on ACC, especially with the new GT4 DLC out ! :) I will make sure i keep progressing in making setups and extract the best out of the cars before going towards the endurance side of ACC, that's my new objective ;)

There's many people i'd like to thanks after a year and a half playing in RSR : First (Obviously) comes the Staff who did an amazing job during all seasons, choosing the best car/track combinations and making sure we have a pleasant experience. The community you've grown is fast, respectful and fun. Keep the good stuff gents ! :D
I'd also like to thank all the team mates i had during my seasons in PCars 2 : @Taorminator @Corentin_Bergès @Nevil and @xIbraGiox , i learned a lot racing alongside you all :)
For the good fights i had, i have to mention @daniel v @Born2BSlow @UnstopaPaul @Darksi and everyone else i had good fights with :D
Finally, i'll give special thanks to @CatchAGlimpse and @FuBii for making practice sessions before each race and sharing Advices/Setups. Catch i'm gonna miss your traditional "Bonjour madame" xD ! Fubii, you've evolved so much man ! I had to look back at the LMP3s and you went from 35th to 3rd ! I hope we'll have many more training sessions in ACC soon ! ;) (Same goes for you Corentin ! :p)

My days at Pcars 2 aren't completley over, i'll keep going to some PC2 events here and there, just not on a regular basis . I'm looking forward to race with you guys soon !
