I've got the most reliable internet connection you can wish for......and this evening it decided to bail on me. I guess I was in Lap 46/80 lieing in 2nd place if I'm correct with xCrazydogx in front of me and SillySausage behind me and then I saw mattp standing on the track just in front of Lesmos......and then......I got disconnected. I can't remember the last time I had the disconnected from Race Central message, but this one feels really tough :-(. I enjoyed the BMW really well and was doing ok-ish and was confident I could finish the race with the one pitstop. But sadly......it didn't work out for me like that. Have a good race all to those that are racing!

@Invincible I popped my engine too, although I was relieved that my race finished early! I had an awful run. I couldn't get a consistent feel for the car under heavy braking, I must have lost the rear 6 or 7 times in the hard braking zones.

Great race, really enjoyed it :)
Gr.5 cars are really tricky to drive, made tons of mistakes during the race, and was hit by @GosuNoob badlyXD, wish it didn't affect your race too much

I feel you. Although I had a pretty awesome race and was in a comfortable lead of Group 5. :(

Woo! P2 in class for lobby A! This is my best result is a while, was good fun. Had some great gap and on-track battling with @Nighttiger and @MelBonkers which was fantastic. Practice definitely makes perfect, I put in what must have been almost 200 laps and over 10 hours of practice which is exactly what I needed. Combined with extensive calculations (finished with exactly one lap of fuel left) and complete consistency (no spins at all!) I feel I got the best result I could possibly have gotten. There was no catching xCrazydogx, well raced. I'll upload my race highlights soon. :)

It was my podium (3rd) in class, on my return to RSR, and I throw it away, well @Ashnoom took it.

Really good pace for me, as expected 47-48's and just in my splash and dash to the end, got a hold for mechanical issues (pCARS trolling me:shifty:), which close the gap with ashnoom to 2 secnds:eek:, and then the worst, I forgot to change tyre pressure and in the last 2 laps it was just spinning in almost every corner :/

But It was fun.

Cheers all!

Somehow my stream only saved 2 hours of the whole race, I'll see it's fixed after it's processed

It actually wasn't me that crushed you. There were 3 other cars involved in that sequence of events, and I didnt see who the last person was who fully crashed into you.

Starting video at 193:20 will give you the view.

First car that gets tapped (and doesn't get impacted) is Nooono.
After he gets by your car whips to the right towards the wall. I tried to squeeze between you and the wall (no other place to go) and you clipped my back end which sent me ping-ponging against both walls.
Then when you are fully stopped, another car slams directly into you and flips you on your roof.

Its no big deal at this point I was locked into my position, just sucks to have to make the extra pit stop.

"Another car" was actually me which basically ended my race and the fight with Noono and @Blue Monkey for P1 :(

Very fun race guys. Thanks to all who showed up. I wish you hadn't dropped out due to technical 2scoops, was having a fun battle with you in the beginning. Already looking forward to the next one.

Livestreamed for the first time :D

Slow the video down Blue, I broke about 20-30m early to let you slot in ahead of me, and I actually take position in your rear view before we turn into the corner.

I thought I said I was braking early but obviously I didn't, so sorry about the lack of communication. Was not trying to hold you up there, just wanted to lose as little time as possible so I chose to brake 20m early to let you slot in.

Don't think about it too much - was a little harsh from me that comment (I sometimes just speak my mind).
We survived it both in the end, that's the important one .... I was just a bit annoyed because it was a tad dangerous

What I do when I get lapped (by own class), I lift the throttle in the middle of the straight - I never brake, reduces the risk of brakechecking-crashes. This is the safest way. Not around or in the middle of corners. Reduces possible crashes aswell.
You also be reminded that you have around 3 corners time, its not your fault when the car that is lapping you is in a hurry and can't be patient :D

@Feanor A well & friendly meant advice: Don't move off the racing line and brake to let a blue flag car by, in worst case the lapping car tries to overtake you by going off the racing line and you do that at the same moment, it will cause a crash - exactly thats why I lift the throttle only, so in such a scenario, the car behind can brake in time.

Yeah theres no hard feelings just wanted to clear that up.

As you said in your pass of someone else... "Its racing, shit happens" lol.

Great drive from both you and Noono. Was really looking forward to watching that battle on the last lap since you were only 2s behind me. Was going to let you guys pass on mid straight then watch the end from behind.

I don't think it was the throttle input that spun you, it looked like your front right just caught the curbing wierd at that moment. Wierd suspension compression and transfered into the rear end.

Also I don't remember at what point in the race you spun in turn 1, but mega bonus points for a perfect 360 spin! Need to highlight that spin, it almost looked planned haha. Like one of those celebratory WRC 360's in the middle of a hairpin when they have the Rally locked up.

That was a very enjoyable race and the first long one I have done with RSR. I had a poor setup and made too many mistakes so sorry I couldn't offer any closer racing on the C9's. Next time though. Thanks for organising it all and certainly beats the usual of being knocked off the first corner in ESL Go4!

I've seen videos from Manu's lobby, but I haven't seen any from the other lobby.

Was there any videos posted?

I recorded my race but apart from a fun first few laps with Gio (I think) and taking out 118 at some point it was mostly uninteresting. Actually chasing down Bengyi towards the end was fun too. Maybe I will have a go at a bit video editing before uploading. How hard can it be?

@Mark Baggaley Indeed they were fun:happy:, but I easily noticed how my default-ish set up was not a match for acceleration and top speed with all the field of grp5, but It was comfortably enough to do constant lap times, which amaze me, never done 75% of the race with no more than 0.3sec off pace per lap:wideyed:.
