Welcome to RSR Sprint Night! A series of short 'sprint' races, with or without qualifying, that are unranked. Not to be taken too seriously but not to be taken lightly, a chance to let your hair down half-way. Car and track combinations will be decided on the night but all will be sensible and not quite as crazy as our fun nights.

Open to: Orange
& Green
Badged Members

Information about ranks and how to obtain them can be found here

Date: Thursday, 30th November 2017
19:00 UTC - Qualifying 1
19:10 UTC - Race 1
19:30 UTC - Qualifying 2
and so on...

Races will usually consist of 10-minutes qualifying, followed by 15 minutes of racing, but this can (and will!) vary.

Our usual Driving Standards apply so please don't be 'that guy'. Let's go racing!

Really great idea, especially for people like me who don't have time to race in the league.
I won't be here for this week's sprint night but i will definetely join future ones.

It was going so well until I noticed I was experiencing really bad lag. Was getting steadily worse, even in 'Monitor' after I retired from the pit box. Quit the game and saw my network traffic was going through the roof.

Yes, that is Windows 10 downloading the latest version :|

Ah shit man that was so much fun. Why is it doing it without being asked or asking itself -_-

Good fun night with some really nice cars on default set ups.
I may have bumped a few of you and apologise for that.
Looking forward to the next one :)

No idea. Funnily enough, I was only saying to t0daY, a few days ago, that it was odd that mine hadn't received the update yet. Hey ho, was fun whilst it lasted.

I do want to apologise to a couple of people, as I did take things a little too casually in the opening qualifying round and that is inexcusable, especially given my status as a staff member here. My apologies, therefore, to @wabi and @steveg200 . I know I apologised to both of you at the time but due to my rather abrupt departure (see my earlier post), I feel it is only right that I apologise in here.

I will say, that Ferrari 288 was actually a lot of fun, once you got into the swing of how it drove. I'd love to say that my spin at the hairpin was deliberate, made to look really cool for the chasing pack, but it would be a lie! Glad it provided some amusement though!

I must say that I am slightly disappointed with last night. The car/track combos where OK-ish, but some people really should remind themselves of the rules which apply in this community. I know I am not fast, I don't know every track, I don't know every car, I don't own a VR, a solid racing rig or a 1000$ wheel, but that does not entitle others to shunt me off track and keep going as if nothing happened. This happened three time in two races last night so this really kills the fun... I won't call out names here, and I also didn't save the replays to do so later, I'll just carry on, but jeez guys, get your s*** together.

Hi Shep I apologise for the shunt at Sugo mate. Because I think you clipped a curb you sort of lost some control and I was not sure weather to go left or right. I ended up straight into your side and think I flipped you over. I should have let you pass back in front as you were the lead car. I'm sorry

Ranj mate, you were not one of the people I was talking of, as this was my fault. I was talking of other incidents.

Have to agree with @Shepard here. Some people still thinking this is another "Fun Event". But that's why we created the Sprint Night for some serious sprint racing. Best example was the Spa race with the Indy Car.

2 minutes before the start I said "Guys, relax in T1 and do not crash into each other". Race start - I get punted in T1. That need to change guys, honestly...
