This is one of the worst tracks I've driven so far and I hope we won't ever use this track again at RSR events. :banghead:

Why @Invincible ? What's wrong with it? The track itself? Or the implementation by SMS?

The track itself. It is just a Tilke-devilish follow-up of random weird corners, which don't have any flow. Plus, the car's tires are constantly overheating and it is always switching between brake-oversteer or horrible understeer, which wasn't a problem for me on any of other other tracks.

The track itself is fine but it is suited better to downforce cars such as the LMPs or formula cars.

With the Cayman it’s a technical track which doesn’t suit everyone. I’m finding it helps to have a stable car that’s slightly loose at the rear, this is allowing me to turn the car easier. Sector 1 u have to go slower than you think, 2corners before cut through, try 3rd gear.

To get the laptimes you have to be precise with car hitting every apex except long right hander. Practice is the only way with this track.

Hope you find it more enjoyable to drive!

Did some practice laps and well .. I can't handle that track at all :D .. @Cluck wtf are you doing, such an alientime. Very technical track, same or more than Fuji was.

Driving over the kerbs in the fast chicane in sector 1 often unsettles my rear. I think it's because the front tires are pushed inwards due to the rising edge of the kerbs. Don't know if there is something I can do setupwise :) every help is appreciated :D

Has anyone managed to get rid of the bounciness at the rear? Everytime I hit the kerbs too hard, the rear end bounces like it has no dampers but only springs

I don’t think race pace will be a 1:35 though but im expecting a low 1:36 on full fuel.

1:35 laps are tough and a bit on the edge so not idea for racing but quali...hell yeh!

School has priority this week, so unfortunatly I won't be able to put in the time needed for the race.
Season finale I'll be there for sure ;)

depends on which kerbs your hitting, if its the painted red/white rumble strips then u will need to adjust dampers, maybe stiffer so the car reacts to the kerbs quicker. if your refering to the sausage kerbs on the apex(more in Sector 2/3 then you want to avoid these but get as close as possible.

its tricky but im sure u can find the laptime! wonder what everyone else is doing laptime wise... maybe i should be worried by the lack of discussion! :D

I'm definetely 1,5 seconds of that pace at the momemt.
The car dances way too much for me in sector 1 and I can't seem to hit a curb, everytime the car just runs up on it more and more and slows down on that side... very bad for trusting to take a corner they way I want to.

At least for sector 3 I'm happy and know the flow

Ah yep 1:35 are definitely possible (at least in TT for me) but the most important thing are perfect damper settings and it's somewhat weird how to set them up and the sweetspot where the car is stable is quite small. @Cluck with your setup and slight damper adjustments your easily in the 1:35 with your skill :) I can post a picture later of my damper setup or set a time in TT.

Lol everytime I'm on a good lap I seem to activate the lap-exceed detection xD damn .. ok I've set a time (so you can copy) but due to experimenting a lot it's a completely different setup. I don't know if it's any better than yours @Cluck.

If you have problems with curbs (e.g. loosing control in the fast chicanes when driving over curbs) can definitely be solved by damper setup. It seems that low bump settings on front and rear and relatively high rebound settings can solve that problem (if you're experiencing that problem at all :) ). First I thought this track is undrivable for me but with those fixes it gets quite enjoyable :)

Cheers for the setup :D

To be fair, I made one minor alteration, as I couldn't get my head around that specific thing. Anyhoo, there's a 1m35.2 lap in there and, at a push, a 1m35.1 but that would be my absolute limit now.

The very high +toe at the rear. As soon as I brought that back down, the car made a bit more sense to me and I could actually drive it around the track. In TT, sub. 1m36 laps are pretty straight-forward now, and I was regularly hitting 1m35.5 but nailing the perfect lap - which, with this setup, really is likely to be a low 1m35.2xx - is an exercise in frustration more than anything, but only frustration at my own ineptitude ;)

I've got 30min practice on track I never saw before in my life. With my 1.38's I'm gonna be hoping to get at least one point from today's race :)

Im hoping these lap times are time trial only and not race pace?! :D
