Austria is part of the EU since '95 and we also are not allowed to race

Austria belongs to Germany, obviously you are allowed to race, under Germany :D

Come on @Members get some RSR names representing in this competition...

It must be time for the chicken to win something like this...

Not a hope in hell of winning (even less of a chance if it's open setup) and, to be honest, I wouldn't want to win. I'll take part but it will only be for the fun of taking part and seeing where I sit in the grand scheme of things - these things are often a good 'reality check' for one's ego :D

Long story short, I've signed up :)

EDIT : Looks like the quali rounds are Fixed Setup, yay :)

They added Italy and Switzerland, and perhaps some more "european" countries (@Elodyr)

I tried some rounds with the 720S. But it's very hard to bring that thing to turn in, but when it turns you get oversteer/drift very soon. Any hints how to drive this 'beast'? How can I get the very hard left turn in Catalunia? I'm turning the wheel to the limit and I don't make it sometimes.. perhaps i'm turning too much and it should be much more controlled very smooth turning..?
The DRS is automatic, no ways to influence, right? Any other things I should know about the car? :)

Well, I forgot about this, life and manflu distracted me. Just had a go at the week 2 combo and I can only say...

WTF did SMS do to that car? It's a POS to drive, bloody hideous...I don't remember the Mclarens being that bad, did I miss something. I thought the Mclaren engineers signed off on the handling...I'd be suing if I spent that much on a car and it drove like that ffs.

Just wow!

I'm not the world's biggest fan of it but I tell you what, when you're driving it normally, it's really quite controllable - the ability to put the rear end out and hold it there is second-to-none.

I did 6 laps at Barcelona and stopped before I wanted to smash my Rift into my monitor, through pure frustration and annoyance. Despite loathing Silverstone, I actually had quite a bit of fun setting my time last time (albeit mixed with a lot of frustration).

I've found that the best way to hustle it is to drive the car like the Ford Falcon V8 SC - scrub the speed off BEFORE trying to turn in, turn in and then start feeding the power in, hard at first then easing off when the power really kicks in, being careful not to let the rear end get too out of shape.

It's frustrating as hell to get right but oh so satisfying when you nail a series of corners nicely.

I'm going to run some more laps before the week is out. I've got a 2m01.8 lap in me, before I resort to following ghosts to claw in another tenth or 2.

Can I ask what setup you @Cluck are using? Default loose? I tried all three options and found the loose the less worse option ;) it turns a bit easier than the stable.
Also changing the traction control to about 15 helped me a bit. But anyway i have no idea what i‘m doing :D
But besides I have no chance to drive in the top 20 - it does challenge me to find a way to drive this car fast. I‘ll try your approach, thanks :)

Maybe I should switch TC back on then...the turbo spools or the boost hits and it just kicks left or right

I'm pretty annoyed its default setup (for some reason my wheel is being weird in rf2 after updating the software)...In every other qualifying game its open setup...Why did they make pc2 different? Anyone have any idea?

I guess the simple answer is "because" ;). I guess the thinking is that it takes setup work out of the equation and leaves them looking at the person who can extract the most out of a specific setup. In all honesty, if it had been open setup then I wouldn't have even set a single lap. Which will be the case for Round 3, since my dislike for Hockenheim is up there with my dislike for Catalunya and Silverstone :D
