Nice to see the setup changes and that it is possible to change the final drive now, good choice imo!
One more question. Does the PLP app detect pit lane entrance speeding or not? Couldn't find any information about it and it wasn't enabled in the test races...

Good question. Was it possible in the past?

When I tweaked it for our leagues, it detected overspeeding abowe 82KPH. Don't know if you disabled it for this leagues.

I checked the ini file. It's possible. It's disabled now.

I made setup tests with @Noztra and now I'm sure that the problem is in the tyre and not the setup, it can hardly be altered by setup. So moving away from fixed setup would be rather pointless in this regard. So I started looking at the tyre.ini and found a suspiciously low value for slip angle. Put the value to something more realistic, tweaked front and rear a bit and adjusted a heat factor to make up for the now higher side slip angle and that's it. The car feels free now without being particularly oversteery. It's not even a huge pace advantage unless you start driving more aggressive what you couldn't do before. We got used to heavy trail braking with this cars to make it turn in, need to dial it back with the tyre change.

To make it clear, it is not intended as a last minute change for Zolder. Maybe for R2 or 2nd half of the Season if the ppl that putting all the work into the league are willing and have the time to try it.

Really interesting read, great in depth research!
I would be interested what you mean with more aggressive driving. Watched couple of onboards this morning (Rast at Hockenheim, Glock at Hungaroring, etc.) and it did looked for me as they were quite soft and careful with their inputs, pretty much as I was at Zolder practicing for the first race. I got the feeling watching those replays as they weren't really attacking and thought always they could be much more aggressive, but maybe that's the character of these Hankook tires, I really don't know...
But I would be interested to try the tire changes a little bit and see how this affects the handling.
On a sidenote, I really enjoyed the new default setup at Zolder yesterday. Good changes with the toe at front and rear, made the driving and handling of the car really enjoyable!

You only need setup file for offline sessions
Documents/assetto corsa/setups/you car name/specific track folder or generic folder

are we newcoming reserve drivers allowed to pick our own car, or do we have to take the car of the driver we replace in the race?

you pick your own car, also you need to pay for your own fuel
