My full stream. Caution NSFW language used. Particularly after running out of fuel.
Ah mate so unlucky. I guess you weren't taking notice of the fuel at all? I'm 3s behind you (see relative box) on my last lap. You could've let me by and make it. :muted:

Great event yesterday. Thank you everyone :) My quali lap was good, A small mistake here and there but it's so hard with only 1 lap to nail everything, so P2, won't complain ;)

The first half of the race I tried to stick with Alex. Our pace was pretty even and I didn't get any clear overtaking opportunity so I drove behind until Alex stopped. Sadly this was the lap I wanted to pit too but I had to make something different so I stayed out. The next two laps then were horror with people spinning in front of me, cars coming out of the pits...I lost like 4s those two laps. But with Alex annoucing his penalty I could take it easy and just needed to keep my concentration up for the second half of the race.

This is a very competitve league. Looking forward to the rest of the season!

@Puffpirat I don't know how I didn't. But while racing I didn't spot you in my relative, I was focused on my fuel level I guess. I also thought I was on my last lap, it was only when I ran out of fuel I realised I had to complete one more.

I had to do 2 laps after 0 time. I'd calculated to do 1 lap after 0 time, hence being exactly 1 lap short.

Live and learn!

Another rubbish race from me tonight. Those white plastic barriers at the chicanes can burn in hell.

I also got a drive through penalty for no reason, it looks like the game thought I was in the pits, when I was actually flying down the start/finish straight.

You didn't get a penalty. You had 0 warnings. :)

What you noticed was @Ulti taking a penalty.

Even though I am only competing as a guest driver this season, I would still like to express my personal feelings.

In quali I was probably too cautious, but I can basically be satisfied with P14.

The start of the race was generally better than in the last pre-season race. This time I actually survived the first laps without any contact (which is absolutely not typical for my races), although some people in T1 decided to distribute themselves across the track. But then lap 10 came, when I made a small mistake at the end of the chicane and @Nada saw the chance to overtake me in the next chicane. I'm currently not sure what exactly happened then, but at the entrance of the chicane Nada and I had contact, so I spun off the track into the barriers. As soon as I was back on track - now in the area of P27 or so - I was very surprised how slippery the tyres were from the dirt and promptly spun again. Since I also suffered some aero damage as a result of the impact, I decided to go straight to the pits. Afterwards I had a mostly calm race with some intense but always very fair battles with @Pwox and @Noztra in the last third of the race - crossing the finish line on P17.

In addition, I want to get rid of something fundamental. Again and again there is way too much discussion during the race from my personal point of view. Yesterday some people (some less clearly than others) already mentioned that this is very annoying for some others - frankly I am one of them who feels uncomfortable with that amount of chatting during the event.
I've also driven in other leagues where there's absolutely no talking during the races, just like irl. Maybe the admins could think about adapting the TS rules so that you are not forced to be in the same TS room with our babblers.

Regarding track limits: In order to put an end to all the discussions, we could think about letting PLP decide (at least in AC) - so everyone has the same understanding and the same possibilities - just a thought of mine.

Ah, and some livery assignments need to be reviewed. I noticed some on the wrong liveries in the race.

Look again, as I pass the pit exit a few seconds later (1:57:30). You can just see it starting to flash on the right of the screen.

Tbh I don't think its you who gets it, but it disappears to quickly to see what it says towards the end. The PLP will show other peoples penalties aswell.

But again I could be wrong. :)

The rift capture doesn't help investigating I know :p

Crew chief also said "Watch your speed" when I was on the start finish straight, which he only says when I'm in the pit lane. So I think it was a speeding in pitlane penalty, despite not being in the pits

.......NEWS.........
The high spirits in the banta camp were brought to a crashing halt last night when there race went from bad to worse. Before the race even started they were down a driver (jonno) who had to pull out due to a pulled ballsack.(quote by jonno.. Its tough but i just cant sit in the chair lol) so the fate of banta rested on the mighty @Stokemon whos quali didnt quite go to plan. Never the less he didnt let this stop him as he battled his way through the field only to RUN OUT OF FUEL with 2 laps left.( a MASSIVE ERROR on his part lol) .as bad as this race was for the banta duo it showed something promising from this new team and hopefuly round 2 will be a better outcome. the team will be at full strength with jonno hopefuly recoverd from his injury and @Stokemon would of done his calculations.

When in practice i noticed the FPS was pretty bad also with my Rift. So i changed my SS to 1.0 just to be sure but it was actually not looking very good. FPS was 45 all the time but it looked just like shit. I hope it was a Zolder thing looked like the mod of this track was not optimized for VR. Next race i will try more SS again to see what happens or maybe we can arrange a testrace/practice with 20 cars or so ?
Problem for me at Zolder was the really bad CPU optimization of the track. My 1080ti was sitting there with 30% occupation and my cpu could not feed it with more pictures to render... Even set shadows and mirrors to almost minimum as they are pretty heavy on the cpu but still got only 22 fps for the most time of the lap...
Will definitely upgrade to a nice Ryzen 3000 with speedy RAM as soon as they are out :) was impressed with @Battenberg i5 8400. This small little beast was able to push out 45 fps almost the whole lap and the Main-Thread (AC render thread) occupation was 20 percent points lower than with my old and rusty i5 4690.

My I5 4690K was also struggling a bit. :/

But i think Zolder wasnt really good optimized tbh.

I had the correct livery but the in car info board on the passenger side on the dash was blank. Not a problem but i only noticed when everyone else's in-cars begun to appear!

I have I5 3570K @4.4GHz, and GTX1070, triple screens and was running around 60 during race, around 40 at the start of the race. I put reflections on low and static, post procesing to low, world detail to medium, smoke off, AA to 2x and that is about it.

Here is guide for 90 FPS in Oculus Rift with GTX 1080 TI. I tested it last night after race, and at Salzburgring is locked to 90 with 15 cars race (I first set 38 cars but my CPU got overloaded).

And for rules that have here in RSR Assetto Corsa with PLP app it is great. It is real thing for obeying rules, without any actions needed after. 3 warnings is more than enough before penalty takes part. You can really gain time for example at Zolder chicane if you fly over curbs, but with PLP, that is not possible. Thumbs up for this app.

But please can someone explain me what is thing with default setup? we got it that day before the race with much shorter gearing. Can we get earlier setup file for Salzburgring maybe?

- What can we change in setup so I can know it in advance for next race?
- Is it like gentleman's agreement or ...? Because I could change everything last night, and even load some other setup - is it not forbidden by server?
