Starting Procedure: Standing Start for race 1. Rolling Start for race 2, the pole driver will lead the field through the formation lap. The speed limit for the lead car will be 50mph / 80kph. We are going to form up in a 2×2 formation at the beginning of sector 3, maintaining our speed. Odd numbers on the left side and even numbers on the right side.

@t0daY Can I please remove myself from this season as a driver? Very sorry for my no show last week, it's not like me to be missing things like that. Think I've lost my racing mojo :(

So, in the dry the car feels awesome lapping around the low 1.14s, even in the light rain, the cars almost 7/ 8 seconds slower...
It's gonna be a painful race for me anyway :banghead:

So, are we extending the server start time to allow the tracks to get 'rained' in?

Sorry, think I've been unclear. The second race is a wet start, with no qualy & usually a server restart.
This means the first 4 minutes of the race, the track is still dry. Historically, we've started the race but delayed the race by 5/10 minutes. Are we doing something similar for this round?
IMO, you're probably better adding 5 minutes to the race time & doing a parade then formation lap. Track should be wet enough by then.

No we never delayed a race, only quali session. Server restart doesn't change anything because in pc2 all sessions start "new", meaning even if quali was wet, a wet race would still start to rain in.

This means the beginning of race 1 and 2 will be the same, with the slight difference that we have a formation lap in race 2 so it will effectively be wetter than race 1 start.

With regards to turn 1, whats the deal if you go completely wide? standard procedure of rejoin when safe to do so or slow rejoin at the start of the t3 hairpin? Wondering if it would be prudent to implement something for the first lap to discourage t1 heroes.

2.1 Track Rejoins
  • 2.1.1 - Should a car leave the track for any reason the driver may rejoin but only when it is safe to do so and without gaining any advantage.
  • 2.1.2 - If you do go wider than expected and leave the track, you must allow any following cars to pass before re-joining. You may not block a car by returning to the track prematurely unless they have clearly indicated that you have the room to do so (eg. moving clearly out of your way).

Heh, it's unfair though, because I see you are using auto clutch on. Set it to off, it will give you around 2-3 tenths per lap.
