I ordered the Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3 Brake Performance Kit and was wondering which elastomer spring combination (out of 16) other RSR members with CS pedals use.

Probably I should start with the best combination there is and get used to it? Or should I start with soft and work up from there, if that makes any sense?

What did you recommend to me @Dutchtastic? I believe it was medium/medium

Medium is definately the way to go, the feedback is just fine
Soft is something if you have an actual knee problem
Hard is something if you want to have actual knee problems

And which medium do you recommend?
-13 red + 13 green
-12 green + 12 green
Or....
-13 green + 13 red

I also just recently changed my elastomers from soft to medium. Before I was using 13 green + 12 red and I wanted to go 12 green + 12 green, but didn't get the 13 green out so I just went with 13 green + and 13 red.

I switched mine around as the medium setting is possible with multiple combinations.
My first insert broke after a year of heavy duty use, so they can last if you lube it up and clean it from time to time.

I'm using 13 red and 13 green without the PU Foam. It's a nice and stiff brake pedal kinda like a hydraulik brake pedal, but with a little travel.

Seems that most members and reviewers go for medium with the 13 green + 13 red plus PU foam, so I will go for that :smug:

Just personal preference I guess. I find them a lot grippier than the metal ones and I feel like I have more control over the pedal even if my foot is slightly misplaced. Kinda hard to explain, you can just try it out and make the call yourself.

With the PU foam I had trouble getting the plugs in. Also it was way too soft and had too much travel. A pure hydraulic brake pedal does not move and is force controlled. You have a load cell so your input is force, not travel. If you have travel, your foot needs to exert force in different positions, that's an inconsistency.

With the PU foam I had trouble getting the plugs in.
I had the same problems - the trick is a shoelace. You put it between the plug and the steel. Then you can easily pull the shoelace and bring it into the right position to move the bolt back in.

Getting that metal pin back in is quite a struggle :eek:... took me an hour and a half :dead:...scratched some paint ... flattened the small cable of the vibration thingy, hopefully not damaged it. Tomorrow next step... mount the pedals to my Wheel Stand Pro.

If you used an alankey between the pedal and the metal pin, you could force space so the pin goes in quite easily, the cable won't get flattened and only a single scratch on the paint :D
It took me a lesson aswell as I cut my finger trying to ram that pin in the hard way

Anyone having experience removing the treadplate (plate where you rest your feet on) of the ClubSport Pedals V3?
I need to dismount this plate in order to be able to mount the pedal set to my wheelstand. Tried to remove the 3 red screws at the front, but 2 of them are tightened that strong, I will surely damage them if I use more strength. Probably I'm doing something wrong, maybe I need to remove the single philips screw at the back first? Any advice welcome.

Those are Aluminium-Screws. High risk to damage the hexagon socket, even Titanium-Screws can fail there. If you need to take them out, don't just apply torque on the allen key or whatever you use. That is the best way to damage the screw. Your best chance is too stick an allen key into the screw and use a hammer to loose the screw with a few hammer blows on the allen key. It's still possible to damage the hexagon socket unfortunately because Aluminium is to soft for a hexagon socket.

Yep @The Breeze you’re looking at the right screws, no need to loosen anything at the back. The heel plate is only held by the 3 reds.

Damn screws.... too soft and I guess the red paint makes the allen key not fit too well.
Think it is a no go... will work out a workaround...

It's not painted it's anodized. That helps the situation a little as the anodized layer is harder than the aluminium. It's usually just a layer of 25µm. Although in red it's probably not hard anodized.
