Some questions!

  1. Mugello is Expansion content. No problem for me, but just to check as before I believe expansion content was avoided in seasons.
  2. Daytona speedway. As in the oval version for 60 minutes? It's also halloween!
  3. Points system - currently lists a system that looks fine for a single race, but needs to clarify how 30/30 works, including fastest laps.

1. Thats why it is in the pre-season and not in the actual race calendar
2. We meant here Daytona Road Course, will be fixed later.
3. 30/30 will be half points.

Giving out 8.5 points for 10th?

Will there be sub-classes (like Platinum, Gold, Bronze,...) so that the not so fast guys have to compete for "something"?

That is the plan, yes :)

Will there be a 'worst round points deleted' drop score for this season, like in the Evolution Cup?
If there is nothing stated in the league information thread I would say no.

Or wants the majority a drop result?

That system is very hard to maintain with our current reserve drivers policy. Also quite hard to put people into classes without, at least, a timetrail as an indicator.

Do you have any ideas? We are open to suggestions :)

I'd say no personally, as the drop result seemed to encourage the "not attend" week when we did it last. (as much as there is a date on that calendar I might not be able to make). It also makes it harder to read the championship standings.

That sounds like a good idea:
For example, just to give some ideas:
- rookie class = all new drivers this season
- club = all drivers who had not more than 3 (or 5) top 10 finishes in the last cup (last two)
- revolution cup = rest

I really like that!

Nicely sold. Should be easy to do something like that :)

@Nakor @Shepard, would that be sufficient?

Not teams, but my thought is categories would be better. We would have overall points and points for each category.

This is cool. Especially if we could then say no two pro's in the same team.

I would also suggest staff discretion at who is classified where. Some drivers might not have taken part in the last season, but should obviously be pro. A Promotion/Relegation system can also be cool.

This won't happen I can tell you straight. We can also not apply different points based on "your" category, this is beyond our current sheet and I am not going back to do everything manually.

We can do the different categories, that means newcomers and gentlemens can drive in their "class" for the best position. Which means we have at the end of the season the overal champion, the best gentlemen and the best rookie driver :)

I understand it as driver category, which is definitely a cool idea! I wouldn't force pro/am teams as we tried in the past and that didn't work great for some.

With that being said, the best newcomer/gentlemen can be also our champion. We had already couple surprises in our season. Will discuss that with the staff team, maybe also implementing that you don't have to drive in the gentlemen category and upgrade yourself if you feel you are misplaced.

Yes sounds like a Plan! :)
If the point system can be expanded in a simple way, that's the way to go i think (at least for now).
Perhaps the drivers can just apply for a class, and the admins can overwrite it if they think it doesn't fit? (perhaps no need for complex evaluation of other seasons)

Just to clarify, if we do this Class-based ranking, there will be no Teams?
