Ahh damn it! I unfortunately won't be able to make this :( Out for a mates stag-do Thursday night.

Either way, enjoy and send the first off in style! Despite some it's flaws and issues, it's played a huge part in getting the second game to where it is with content and features. Not only that, and I hope others share the same thoughts and feelings as me, it has of course made a massive impact in finding an awesome group of friends and sense of community in sim racing with RSR. Project CARS was where it all started, and the success of those pushing the group forward has lead to the growth in RSR and it expanding to other games. I hope that it will be a fun night for all taking part, and I hope that the second game can allow RSR to continue as such a friendly, tight-nit community, playing, competing and enjoying various games like we do today!

Pcars 1, can I say: "been there, done that, never want to go back?", BUT hang it on the wall, to a game that has made this amazing Revolution Sim Racing community.

Pcars was my start to sim racing, and the hunt for me to join a community was on. It started with TGC and through that we admins made RSR. One thing I have noticed while being with RSR is that this is a community not just a sim group. We all have become friends here and helped and supported each other, on and off the track.

Can not wait for Pcars 2 and a new chapter in RSR. Hope to say good bye to the pit crew in pcars 1, loosing my wheel nuts and dropping my gearbox, and forgetting to let me out the pit box, OR better yet think I am a crap driver and put in a AI driver in MY CAR to complete my race, leaving me with a muted mic on team speak and laughing my ass off while the AI crashed every single person as they passed me.

Thanks again to the admin and moderation team for putting in so much time and effort. Lets move on and grow even bigger in pcars 2. Using Manu's famous words: "see you on the other side".

Wow! It somehow feels like forever ago but at the same time just yesterday I bought Project CARS and discovered this fine group of people, first in the end-days of TGC, then moving into the brave new world of RSR (@Battenberg might be able to help with a more specific date as we did our induction at the same time).

I found this awesome community, as many did, through one of @Yorkie_065's videos in particular and can remember seeing how good the game looked and how amazingly authentic the clean racing was - I knew this was the game I wanted to start my online sim-racing adventure in. Litte did I know as we close the door on this game and move on to the sequel I would have clocked up 854 hours on it(with one event to go :p)!

Project CARS has been a huge part of my life as through it I feel I've not only grown as a sim-racer but also as a person, made so many new friends from all over the world who I wouldn't have met any other way, learned so much about so many different countries, developed an uncertain hobby into a passion, had the ability to work and communicate closely with the developers on the very game I love, share/build ideas with a fantastic group of admins and most of all DRIVE IN A COMMENTATED AND STREAMED RACE WHERE THEY SAY MY NAME (this was secretly a dream of mine for a long time for any video game :D)!

Yes, the game had it's many infamous bugs, crashes and rough parts (luckily I seem to be one of the ones less affected by these things over the years) but it truly is work of art and an excellent stepping stone for the next sequel. I'm so excited for what the future of RSR holds in PCARS 2 and am so grateful for what the first game has given me.

Lastly, I need to thank all the incredible admins and moderators (past and present!) who have used the platform of PCARS to really create something special here at RSR. After joining the team myself I now get to see how much work, dedication and love these guys have for their hobby and this community in particular and it truly staggers me so thank you.

I know we mention it here and there but @t0daY in particular needs to be thanked. Most of our members probably don't and may never know the extent Manu goes to to make RSR happen every single day. His 'efficient' German rule may come across as... well... German at times, but it truly shows how much of himself he invests in this organisation and how much he truly cares about what he and his team have personally created here over the last year and a bit. Have a shoey on me Manu and here's to more 'German efficiency' in PCARS 2! :D

Thanks guys, very much looking forward to what the future holds for us in just a few weeks! :)

Meh :chicken:

EDIT : I should just add, that was my typical 'humour' coming through, I just thought it would be an amusing antidote to all the fawning from the other RSR staff :D.

I'm going to keep it very short and sweet because, if I actually get started on what I want to say properly, it will turn into the most epic post in THE WORLD (THE WORLD!). Without further ado, this is all I have to say on the matter ...

We're done
Project CARS 1
Bienvenue

I haven't taken part in many events, but from the events I have taken part in it has been incredibly fun. It's been a good run with PCars 1, and I hope to see the same familiar names and people in the coming races in PCars 2 and this farewell race :D

Never thought we would come to an end. I mean it was obvious that we would stop racing in Project CARS at some point, but it felt like it was still a little bit away...

When we started with RevolutionSimRacing, I had really no clue that it would become what it has become. We had one thread in the official forum of Project CARS. Yes exactly, one thread! It was hilarious but it somehow worked out. No fancy leagues, no fancy endurance events, it was just loose racing in Project CARS with a hand full of people.

What we achieved together since last year is just beyond everything. Our own dedicated forum, our first official league, our endurance events, our first RL meeting (at the SimRacing Expo) or just some fun rounds at Battlegrounds :D

We grew together to more than "just" a community. It feels already like a really small online family! One thing that stayed the same all the time is the friendly and gentle attitude from each member on -and off the track. That is, in my opinion, the strength of RSR!

I am also very grateful to have the best Staff Team around the planet (around the WORLD! - Cluck will understand this joke :D):-

@FlyingKman, @Battenberg, @SirHunterOne - The best Induction Trio you could imagine
@falcon2081, @Gxbbs - Our iceRacing Management
@Blue Monkey - Our aaarrrrFactor 2 Management
@ramiboo - If you ever need an IT guy, give him a shout
@Cluck - Our Chicken Moderator
@SillySausage - Our crazy Content Producer from Australia
@Mark Baggaley - Without Mark, the second post of each event thread would be empty
@Photonenbert - Our Creative Producer, his posters making me crazy
@Elmo - Our Inside Man in SMS ;) :D

Let's make this event a good one! I hope I see as many RSR Members as possible to give Project CARS a good farewell :)

P.S.: Project CARS 2 is waiting around the corner :p

It is my second year with this community and what a great time it has been. I felt like the admins has been doing a great job, thank you. Looking forward to continue with Project Cars 2.

Karts on Nordschleife with Thunderstorm incoming! :D :D
Sounds like great fun

After I got to play Assetto Corsa properly, I seriously, and I mean - seriously HATE Project CARS (1). But I'm gonna have a proper goodbye with it.
Setting a reminder on Thursday night! I hope my WiFi will be back from the dead!

In your opinion :D Most likely after I play PC2 I will think the same, but without better alternative for me I like it.

Who allowed you to have an opinion? Especially one that differs from the one that we/RSR has.
RSR is one being. One mind. One opinion.

Why wouldn't anyone want you there? Everyone here is friendly and no one is ever made to feel left out :)

Hey RSR fam!

For those that don't know already, I'm a fully addicted member of the motorsport world. This community has given me so much fun and competition over the last 21 months not to mention a good reason for a serious upgrade in my hardware! :D

I've not had any bad experiences racing here and am glad to help out the Admin team with my knowledge and know how. I too must say a big thank you to the founding Members and Admins, especially @t0daY, @FlyingKman, @Pamellaaa, @Hobbnob.

We've come a long way in those 21 months and I'm really looking forward to the next 2 years with a new more polished experience and increased options/content in Project Cars 2 not to mention the other members here!

Also looking forward to the uninstall party post race!! ;)

It's time to say goodbye to this game, and despite it's many 'features', I feel it has served us pretty well here at RSR. For me, RSR is as much about variety as it is about the environment in which we race in. The sheer amount of cars and circuits available in this game have allowed us keep creating fun & interesting combos in our official races, right up until the end of it's life. No other game on the market could give us the scope to do what we do, with both the accessibility and challenge to satisfy players of all abilities. So, thank you game! I'm still going to uninstall you though.

Whereas many other communities stick to one series, or focus on one discipline of motorsport; we specialise in diversity. Some personal highlights of mine are:
Of course, the new game will bring us more toys to play with, so long may this continue! Only with fewer headaches. Hopefully.

I think the championship feature alone is just a huge, huge help - so long as the pit crew work this time, I think the second title will be sick.

Rallycross at Nordschleife combined? :)

That would be sweet, in the snow though. ;)
