did half a dozen laps a short while ago and was doing 1m28 with 100L of fuel onboard. Time trial was 1m27-flat but with quite a few errors, whilst I was still working out how the car behaves.

I can't go below 30 :bag:

How do you all go through last two hairpins? I am talking about default setup. Every time I need to go like 30 kmph not to spin.!

Hairpins? Where? Brands has one hairpin, the rest of the corners are pretty much 90-degree left or right :)

The main thing to realise is this car has brutal throttle response - ie, the power transfer from your right foot to the rear tyres VERY quickly! Just be a little more 'analog' with your right foot and you should be absolutely fine.

As for the rain conditions, I haven't tried yet.

Well I can do a one lap wonder in TT of 1:26.5, but the temperature drops after that. Race distance will be a different story, far less grip.

If you look at default set is says 50l but start with race settings and you get 100L...

Getting a lot of stuttering in VR and that's with zero opponents, might have to tweak some settings

Do you have nVidia drivers latest? If so, go back to older drivers.

Didn't update my nvidia drivers thankfully :) put -vrnomirror back in and lowered some settings and it's all good. New PC arrives on Friday then I can pump more pixels...

So first impressions the grip balance improves over the race distance, laps 3-8 are very tricky, but as the fronts lose grip then the balance shifts to understeer and from then on the car gets easier to drive so stick with it. Fastest lap on the last lap with proper race settings (no opponents though as it was just a test run) was a 1:29.000... considering @Cluck did 1:28's with full fuel I have some practice to put in.

Thought I'd give it another shot in time-trial. As Raymond Blanc is so fond of saying .... et voila

1m24.7s on default setup and no driver assists

Still room for a bit of improvement here and there.

Race pace, well, I did a 1m26-flat time on my 2nd lap, starting with 100L of fuel onboard.

I was looking forward to this race! Until I realised that I have to stay in a hotel this Sunday as I won't be able to enter my house :-/ (Due to cleaning + waxing/oiling our wooden floor). Bummer!

If I had kept my nerve, this would have been a 1m23 lap. I botched S2 and S3 (S2 was 0.1s down on my best and S3 was 0.2s down) so had to settle for a 1m24.2 :(

EDIT : I reckon a 1m23.8 (or .9) is just about the very limit of what's possible with this car in a fully default setup (ie, not even adjusting brake bias on the fly)

EDIT : Dammit, soooooo close now to a 1m23 lap!

Thank you Cluck for these videos. I learn how to drive particular track from it. I made so mistakes before turning on your ghost.

One question, if we do default set-up, we can put tyres manually or automatic and default fuel level is 50l,so leave it that way or....?

I race 2 we need to go in pit for tyre change?

Jesus, i'm way off that pace, even with the 50L of fuel, why are you using 100L? Although I think you should because with 50L you'll be even quicker :D

re. car setup, it should ignore whatever selections you have made and load the default for tyres, fuel etc - I would expect that the default setup will load using "automatic by weather". I don't see any reason why you won't be able to pit to change to dry tyres - worth setting up a pit strategy in advance :)

It's worth checking that this does work though, to ensure that no matter what car setup is saved, the game does indeed load a default 'automatic by weather' tyre in default :)

Because 100L is what the game gave me when I set up a 30-minute race in a quick race mode against the AI. I haven't looked at what it loads in an online session yet :)

Oof that looks like a lot of fun, I've not tried the car yet, very much looking forward to Sunday :D
It is a big barrel of joy to drive, you just have to make sure you treat it with a little respect. It is such a change from the pCARS1 version :)

Gr8 lap Cluck. Nice video
Cheers :) . I'm not 100% happy with the lap though, as I know that a 1m23 lap is possible. It would have to be a near-perfect lap to do it but my individual split times have shown that it is possible (have done 32.85x, 25.78x and 25.2xx for S1, S2 and S3 respectively in some of the laps I've done - with the 32.85 and 25.78 on the same lap)

@Cluck how do you have larger fov than me? Or It seems it is larger mine?
I have a DK2 so maybe there are some differences there? Also, I have adjusted the World Scaling setting slightly (increased it a small amount).
