Nice first race and cool fights! The car is quite difficult at the limit and @Puffpirat and @Cluck really nailed it at the race. Congrats to both. What happend to @Alex Salmon?

As soon as I found a good rhythm the overtakings began and I lost the rhythm during the rest of the race. I don't know how @Puffpirat and @Cluck can stay up to that pace even when lapping others :D huge respect!

I wasn't able to drive a fast qualy time cause my engine always took damage after 1 lap. I crashed on my first stint and going back to pits doesn't reset the damage source (though I didn't have aero damage). Setup reload wasn't possible with fixed setup. So from P10 to P3.

Really enjoyed my first ranked race thanks guys. Especially the guys who spun ahead of me and gifted me places :) . A P7 to P4 in race1 and P8 to P3 in race2, that was only because @Cluck spun and had damage otherwise I would never have caught him. Struggled to get a clean lap in qually both sessions, even when I dropped back to get space I had people exiting the pits and they had nowhere to go any more than I did, terrible pit exit on Brands. Thanks for great racing guys, lets hope for less technical problems in future.

I'm glad we worked around the odd issues we had earlier, that was a really enjoyable night of driving, even if my results didn't show it. By the end of the night I felt very in touch with the car, it's now one of my favourites in the game. Race 1 started promisingly for the first 2 1/2 corners, until @Puffpirat had a tank slapper exiting turn 3 with cold tyres. I darted to the right in avoidance, and slid off into the barriers, and slowly rejoined in the midfield with some minor damage. The rest of the race was fairly lonely, only to liven up on the last lap as I caught a limping @Alex Salmon. I just about got ahead of him on the line, I think my rapidly flashing headlights got me that extra few kph ;)

My last lap in qualy 2 was crazy, I was just about matching Puffy's pole time in S1 & 2, and gained a tenth by power sliding through the final corner :p Very pleased with that one! I got away ok, and was managing my lead fine in the first few laps. I had a big wash of understeer at the hairpin, and thought it would be a great idea to blip the throttle to get it rotated. I of course then had a horrible slow spin onto the wet grass, and re joined down the order yet again. I had some fun chasing down @FlyingKman and @Gonzo0193, setting fastest laps in the process. I could have been on the podium on both races, but it wasn't to be. Still had a blast though.

Outstanding pole lap for race two @Battenberg, seriously well driven fella :)

I made a fit of a mistake in the first quali, by going to fast down the pit-lane (my mind was elsewhere) and I got DQd back to the pitbox  . Fortunately, my one flying lap was good enough to give me P4. With @Puffpirat going sideways and @Battenberg going off to the right, both myself and @Alex Salmon seized the opportunity to take P1 and P2 between us. From there it was a case of hounding Alex into making a mistake or watching for any gaps. Lo, it came to pass, that he took a very deep line into T4, gifting me the inside line (my preferred line anyway!) and that was the race done and dusted really. Puff had a great charge to finish just a few tenths behind me and I think our fastest laps were separated by just a hundredth of a second (I pipped him to it!)

Quali in the 2nd race went better and I started P3. Dropping down to P4, Battenberg spun and left me chasing the, now-leading, pair of Puff and Alex Salmon. With a mistake from Salmon, I was soon up his chuff but, a combination of rather 'over-enthusiastic' driving from Salmon and the spray making me miss my line, I lost it out of T3 and headed head-first into the wall. Now nursing a severely bruised car, I could see @Born2BSlow gaining rapidly, so I picked the safest place I could and slowed for him to pass, as trying to keep him behind me would have done neither of us any favours. Would have been happier with P3 but I'll take a P4 in my least favourite conditions any day of the week.

A brilliant car to drive and just about the biggest smile on my face the whole time. Really glad this combo came up :)

I'd like to say thanks to the guys who were being lapped, who did a very good job on what is a very tricky track with short straights and unforgiving corners. @Cluck thanks for being so helpful and letting me by, I wasn't looking forward to battling with the Ballistic Chicken :) I could tell you were struggling. Sorry about taking the podium spot from you, hopefully one day we can do battle on equal terms (when I get a bit quicker).

Was an awesome race guys. The car does sort of grow on you. Race 2 the car felt a lot more planted in the rain conditions then in the dry. Gr8 skill from the guys in front. Still got a lot to learn. But very enjoyable race. Many thanks for organizing such fun and intense racing combos - You got to love it!!!

Yesterday's racing was great fun once again, i really like the idea of default setups racing, as it seems the field is even tighter than normal.
First race i had a good start, had a first row watch of that incident in L1 in Surtees but couldn't capitalize enought on that. After that i tried to keep up with the top guys but i wasn't able to. At the end i had an awesome battle with @Alex Salmon and although he had a damaged car i had to give everything to get passed because his defending was nearly too good.

Race 2 started a bit more unlucky with @mikeysalmon27 pushing me wide in T1. But no harm from my side as it looked like he got pushed into me after his a bit over enthusiastic start. After that i was able to fight my back into the Top 10 and had one of the best fights of my RSR career with @SillySausage fighting for more than half of the race. It was really unfortunate to see that he was collected by a sliding @FlyingKman at the end.

Once more thanks for the great race and i am looking forward to the next one ^^

By the way, I've just reported the race start weirdness to one of the QA guys at SMS. He's as baffled as me, as it's not something any of us have seen, except for tracks that were still fairly early in development. I've given as much info as possible, to see if there's some weird edge-case that we managed to trigger last night.

On that note, thanks again for your patience, everybody, we got a pair of great races in the end, despite those initial wobbles. Not sure what was going on with the severe lag on server #1, but we'll no doubt get that sorted.
