[Benchmarking] Nvidia 1080 Ti vs. Nvidia 3080 vs. AMD 6900XT (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

since I had the chance (you really have to say it like that at the moment ) to buy a RTX 3080 FE and a Radeon 6900XT pretty much at the same time, I thought I will do some benchmarking between the two new cards against my old EVGA 1080 Ti. For now I did only benchmarks in Assetto Corsa Competizione on my 1080p single screen and with my HP Reverb G2.

System Specs​

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5800X
  • Curve Optimizer -30 on all cores
  • +200Mhz Boost Offset
  • results in around 5,05 Ghz single core and 4,75 Ghz multi core boosts
  • CB23 results
    • SC: 1658 points
    • MC: 15977 points
• RAM: G.Skill FlareX 3200 CL14
  • Running at 3466MhZ @ 1,4V
• Mainboard: Gigabyte Aorus Elite X570
  • BIOS: F33c
• PSU: beQuiet! Straight Power Gold 750W

Benchmark Settings​

I did actually two different benchmarks scenarios with the following weather settings.

• Hotlap scenario around Kyalami

• Quick race with 24 AI around Nürburgring
  • Starting last and staying last for 3 laps, following P24 in around 0,5s gap

Some frametime analysis for the RTX 3080 in MP​

Started a online race at dry and sunny Hungaroring in around P20 of 30 drivers in total.

Interesting that nothing can save you from lap 1 with VR in ACC. I would love that stability to 80+fps

yeah the CPU for that hasn't been invented yet but bear in mind that my time and weather settings especially for Nürburgring are quite worst case. It just sunrise, the sun is really low and the shadows are super long and therefore extremly taxing. Also Nürburgring is really taxing.

At AOR Zandvoort it was really overcast weather and I reduced the 'Cars visible' setting to 20 and had stable 90fps the whole starting procedure and race, really pleasant experience!
