I had a pre-written message here, asking if no one was hyped since there was no updates here. but i didn't send.

Anyway, I am not fully prepared because i still don't know the race details (specifically race start time and time progression :D).

Other than that, really looking forward to it. It's a track i really enjoy although is tricky to overtake and some people will be annoyed with the track limit penaltys on the second chicane: which are very permissive but once the cones are down, difficult to understand where they are :).

Any news on when the server will be available so we can get some practice in?

I know, did that last time and ended up with tires that where way to low on pressure. We all know what happens then...:)
An online server gives you also no exact temperature for the race. ACC works with percentages in regards of temps, rain chance, etc...

I am just saying it won't give you now the golden settings, thats all

Oh dear. Then how do I setup my tire pressures, thats also based on temps right?

I get them all balanced and optimal (27-28 psi, aiming for all 4 to be 27.5 hot) in the practice session, and make a mental note of the track temp. On the pre race countdown I would nudge all 4 up or down slightly to compensate for the temperature change.

Condition details and the Server will hopefully go live tonight or tomorrow after the AMS2 event. I’m waiting on some confirmation from PRD on details. But as Manu said, the conditions for the event will be random to an extent. Could be dry, wet, hot, cool, windy, still... who knows?

Time progression will be 2x like the previous races, and will be used for all races this season.

i had a CP race in Zolder the other day with changing weather conditions, it was a blast :).

Anyway you guys can't change the limit of penalty for cutting track right?

there will be people moaning, because of that second chicane, i am certain of that :)

i think you are right, i've seen people complaining in the kunos forums about that. they should change that, as having a 24h race or a 1h race the cap is always 3 warnings.

Anyway, yeah the most dangerous place is 2nd chicane, the cones help but they will eventually be taken out.

Use practice/quali to get em in the right ballpark. Pay attention to the track temp in the pre race countdown for final adjustments.

Don't mind the track limits, we 're all in the same boat. Don't see why people would moan... Risk & reward as always

I hope your right. I don't have any problems with track limits anywhere :). And if i eventually get to 2 or 3 warnings i start being more careful. that is it.

Now for a more interesting note:
1st chicane go over the kerbs or not?
I never go over the kerbs but i've seen some very fast people taking considerable kerb on the entry and some on the exit.
I'll keep doing what i'm doing as i find it safer and more consistent, however, i wish i knew how to make it work :).

I will see after some practice, right now I’m leaning towards a late turn in, avoiding the kerbs. Might be slower but at least that way you don’t risk spinning half the time. I’ve only done a 15min public race so far so still open minded about it.. probably the Ferrari won’t like these kerbs too much. Don’t know about heavier cars like Nissan or AMG.

I'm excited for the first round, but nervous also as Zolder is very tight in places and if we have a packed grid it will be interesting! Need to get some laps in over the coming days.....

I've not done a race here since our last one a year ago. I imagine the risk of punctures are still there, of you keep hammering the big kerbs?

You'll definitely get a tyre pressure drop at least.
I'll stay out of that kerbs :).
