In normal circumstances, the stewards will wait to hear evidence from all involved parties. Unfortunately, @thedarkjack had not responded within a reasonable timeframe and, as such, the stewards have had to act solely on the evidence supplied by the other party.

Having reviewed the footage provided by all members involved, the Stewards deem this a serious racing incident and a breach of our Driving Standards, in particular, sections 1.1.2 & 1.4.1:

"You should, at all times, try to avoid any intentional contact during our events. We understand that a degree of contact is inevitable but, this must always be kept to a minimum, even if you have to compromise your race to do so."

"If you are going to be lapped, you should hold your racing line and leave the other driver responsible for making a safe pass. By sticking to the racing line, your movements are more predictable. It is also helpful to lift off the throttle, to allow the lapping car to pass sooner."

The Stewards deem this incident worthy of a Qualifying Ban. @thedarkjack failed to take into consideration his speed, approaching the next corner immediately after being lapped. The resulting, completely avoidable crash, prevented the race leader from being able to finish the race. We advise all members to be aware of your surroundings and exercise patience and caution when being lapped.
