I'm going to pretend I was feeling generous and not because I jumped the gun and made a mistake. I've got a brand new, second iRacing account with a 3 month subscription already paid for if anyone is interested. Might be good if anyone is wanting to try out iRacing (for free).

EDIT: @Darksi has been given this account for the time being. Once he's given iRacing a go and worked out if it's for him or not I'll lend this account to someone else.

I took the plunge and bought iRacing today. The graphics aren't anywhere near as good as Project CARS 2, but the physics of controlling a race car feel much better, in my opinion.

I even won my second race! :D
Welcome to the team and congrats for your win :)

I got my D Rating today. Hopefully that opened up some more series for me.

When I'm looking at the 'Official Races' page, when does the red-colored "MPR->" mean versus the green-colored "<-MPR" next to the series titles?
Red banner means, that this race does not count for the promotion or next license and the green ones count.

Ah ok. So if I want to progress towards the C Rating, I need to stick to the races that have the green MPR?

And the ones with a red MPR are just for fun, at this point?
exactly

more precisely, the Red races are still counting for your safety rating, but the green ones are important for your progress

To be even more clear - Red MPR counts towards your IR and SR, but doesn't count toward minimum participation requirement. Green counts towards everything.

MPR in red = Doesn't work towards improving your SR licence requirements besides Safety / iRating influence
No MPR = Doesn't work towards improving your SR licence requirements besides Safety / iRating influence
MPR in green= Does work towards improving your SR licence requirements besides Safety / iRating influence

Black F = Fixed setup
Blue M = Multiclass event
Yellow stripe = Team event

That's interesting, normally series like the Fanatec Global Challenge and the Skip Barber Series should also show a green MPR
maybe it's worth checking your Series filters on the Official Races page

Yes, I do see those series, but they are blank for me. No MPR icon at all.

The day/night cycle will be great!
