Looking for a budget laptop (1 Viewer)

I'm looking for a cheap laptop for my girlfriend. She's currently using 15"Lenovo Ideapad 320, which is owned by her employer. As her contract is running out, she has to return it, so we're looking for a replacement. I can build high end VR sim machine in minutes, but when it comes to laptop components, I'm lost.

Ideapad 320 is suiting her needs completely (mostly web browsing and MS office use), so no need to go much higher. Something comparable in performance, budget is around 300-400€. What should I be looking to get and what to avoid?

Also its not worth building a laptop, better to just buy off the shelf considering they're designed to last a year, 3 if your lucky

I meant to buy from the shelf, yeah.

Is the ryzen 3 currently the processor I should be looking at? I looked at hp255G7 and it looks good, as far as I can tell. Ryzen 3 2200U, 8gb ram with 256gb ssd and windows home is 399 at our local online store.

How much does a comparable 17" cost? (that's probably out of budget)
