You’re right it is the game losing focus but my method now is called “I’m clutching at straws” really as I have no idea what’s causing it and the event logs aren’t showing me anything.

I just click on the game with mouse and it works again

ok from the sounds of it there is something set to run at that particular time which is causing focus to leave from the game, this could be a scheduled task or even something like a windows update that is set to run, I would recommend checking those, i am happy to give you a hand if you want. Just a little thought popped into my head, one for the longer term members perhaps.
I’m no computer expert by any means but didn’t we used to have issues every Thursday night back in the early project cars days with Steam doing something in the background?
Perhaps this issue could be linked to whatever that was or is?

pretty sure steam still updates every Thursday around 21:00 +/- 15 minutes @Mark
Simply check your steam preferences & select never allow background downloads in game

Delete that sh**.. Even if you remove the schedule from there, once you install the next itunes update, it'll be back most probably.

Can you change the time? Does it change back?

Someone would probably tell you why this isn't a good idea, but I would just write a batch script changing the time/date, and have it run at logon.

You can backup using the cloud and WiFi straight from your phone I believe

You can but that doesn't do a full backup, only settings I believe.

It's only settings and pics I'm worried about tbh, and the pics go to the cloud and my ipad. Uninstall the fecker, that's the job!
