Project CARS 2 + GTX 1060 3GB + i5 7400 + 12 GB RAM + 55" UHD TV (1 Viewer)

Hey guys

As you can see in the title my config is:

• GTX 1060 3GB
  
• i5 7400
• 12 GB RAM
• 55" UHD TV

Not sure if this is a good config...

Of course I woud like to set up the maximum setting - but I am not sure (since I am not a pro with computers) what I need to set. There are some settings within the NVIDIA controlcenter as well as in the game.
I am wondering if anyone can help me with the settings to get them to the best possible (if possible @ 3840 x 2160 resolution).

4K resolution Pcars2 with GTX 1060 is not really possible. At least if want at least some FPS. 1080p is your best option.
As for in-game settings, the target would be stable 60fps. Maybe the nvidia experience or whatever it's called can help you with that.

Maybe the (only) 3GB‘s are the limitating fact here. Do you think a 1060 with 6GB or a 1070 can make it?

Is your TV 60HZ? Does it supports HDR?

The specs of the tv saying even 120Hz - also supports HDR.
Maybe I need to invest in a 1080Ti then. Is there any alternative with same performance?

Nope, not at the moment, closest one is Vega 64 and 1080. For PCars2, go for nvidia
