Hi all,

Well I am really struggling with these cars, as I usually do with PC2. Constant oversteer even with the softest of rear suspension settings. I can't complete more than 2 laps without the car spinning and when I do complete a lap my times are embarrassing. Perhaps for the safety and enjoyment I should drop out :(

Maybe you are going on the gas too fast? For me (I drive the Ginetta) I feel like I have to let it flow without touching any pedals sometimes. And also what are you lap times? Because you can't compare yours to the times in TT, those setups are just for speed and stuff.

Thanks for the replys. I just find that most cars in PC2, to me, have chronic oversteer. Every car seems to need almost no steering input before the back steps around.

I'm trying to be as gentle as possible but with that I am really really slow. Not ideal for sprint racing.

I have that issue too with pcars2, maybe suspension related.

Are you on the correct tyre compound? Are you tyres at the correct temperature and pressure?

I found with these cars they do struggle with lift off overseer, keeping a bit of throttle on throughout helps massively.

Surely diff/preload changes would fix that? possibly toe and cambers too

Take my (OculusRifter) Ligier setup from the time trial. It's slow and stable - it's my race setup, not a time trial setup. I've done a couple of hours of racing in practice races with AI and don't spin, as long as I'm chilled. I use a Playstation 3 controller as well, so it's really easy to put too much steering input in, and I still manage to save most of my slides. I get around with a 2:04 with 50l in, down to a 2:02 towards the end of the race. I don't mind giving away my secrets as I'm just here for a fun race and have no delusions of being skilled or quick. Just as long as I don't hold up people when I'm being lapped :D

Should you find you are spinning with my setup still, just add a bit more front spring and anti-roll so the front doesn't grip as much.

I would also add that I find the Ginetta to be very prone to losing the rear if you're not giving it a gentle amount of throttle or you're cornering too quick. I cannot do a 30 minute race in the Ginetta without losing the rear and spinning at some point, usually through braking too deep into the corner. The Ligier imo drives really nicely and I love driving around in it.

It may be quite hard with a controller but I've been using the loose rear to help rotate the car while keeping momentum up has been key for me to getting a low 1.57 in qualy fuel.
