Date: 11-June-2018 Event: The Grand Tour Members Involved: @Eugene Gajkin Description: Heading into Turn 2 at Brands Hatch GP, Eugene Divebombed and made contact with me, this caused both my car some aero damage and caused Eugene to have contact with other cars behind. Evidence:Link
I would like to request one further bit of information please @Jamesl91@Eugene Gajkin . Was the position returned after the incident? The footage cuts before we get to see if Eugene returned the place, given that at the end of the video he is in front of James.
We thank @Eugene Gajkin, yet again, for pro-actively bringing this case to the attention of the Stewards, who are issuing Eugene with a Reprimand and 1 Point on his Racing License.
The Stewards found Eugene guilty of a dive bomb, causing avoidable contact with @Jamesl91. Eugene did, however, make a safe rejoin and waited for James to retake his position, exactly the behavior that is expected from members of RSR. Eugene is reminded of his responsibility, as a chasing driver, to avoid contact with the car ahead. When following another car, it is also recommended to be aware of additional speed as a result of being in their draft and, consequently, braking earlier than usual for a corner.
