What with this and the Quake 2 ray-tracing thing, I think I've died and gone to nostalgia heaven :D


Despite the weird bugs in the 1st game especially and the lack of detail inside the buildings, both of the original IGI games were absolutely superb. Not quite as hard-as-nails as the Hidden & Dangerous games but you definitely had to plan your attacks, going straight in would see you dead very quickly. If this prequel sequel matches that "oh shit, he's going for the alarm" panic then I'm sold!

Keep reminding yourself ... this is running in realtime, it's not a render. Sure, the level of detail means we're unlikely to see that in a game in the short or medium-term (unless it was streamed) but as a demonstration of what is now possible, in real-time, yeah it blew me away.
