people showing their age here......after a certain age you can no longer hear certain high frequencies. There was an "alarm" that only produced high frequencies designed to stop teenagers hanging about in groups.

I'm so old/deaf that I can't hear Yanny or Laurel......(though it's probably because I have no sound on my pc at work)
