For me at least, it might not be faster, but is a lot easier and because of that - more consistent.

Watching last year laps, my best was 8:11 in practice, but i remember tscahrf waas doing 8:08's or even lower times but cant remember. Did a lap in a Z4 yesterday with Road atlanta setup and it was a 8:14 , but the lap itself was pretty messy (was first ever lap with z4 around the track and setup was not the best either )

you are right about the times from last year, but I think you can't compare them, because of temp changes this year.
If I remember right the top guys were driving low 8:00 or even faster

True that. I did that 8:14 on 39C track.

yes, they are. you need a good setup on this track. I'm now at 8:13.7 with 23° track temp, but I need a lot more practice to get more stable and safe.

Would be interested in joining a team as well. Preference would be the Mercedes - did recently 7:50 (qualy) and 7:55 to 8:00 min (race) laptimes on the VLN layout.

Don't know how the other cars are gonna perform, but damn, the Z4 feels planted (even with a "foreign" setup).

Drove a 8:10 yesterday after 3 laps and there's still time to gain. Used same settings as Vernux (Default session at Afternoon but air temp set to 18C - will result in 38C track temp)
