as this is a night race, if you crash and damage your headlights are you required to pit to get them repaired? track is driveable without.

Yes. Although some people might still see your car as not having lights after having the car repaired (not sure if this bug is still present though, somebody will need to confirm), you are still required to pit. This is a set rule for all of our night-time races and races in poor visibility (eg, rain, fog, snow)
