Crew Chief question (1 Viewer)

How do I get Crew Chief to say my own name? In race he pronounces the names of all the others (so i doubt he hjas them in a database, probably uses a reading algorythm). I can't find anything in options. (kinda tired of him calling me 'Doc' )

You Can write to the guy making it and ssk If he Can include it.

Sorry to have to do this, but I'm going be refusing some of the personalisation requests where these requests are very specific ('single use'). There are a couple of reasons - the personalisations package is getting very big and it can't continue to grow at the same rate. The other issue is that my free time has become quite limited again so I need to focus more on the core app.

Requests for names that can be used by more than one user (regular names, more common nicknames) are still welcome and I'll get to them as and when I can, but a lot of the recent requests have been 'single use' and I just can keep adding them.

Sorry for the disappointment, but I've got to be pragmatic about it.

That was posted in January last year. I think your nicknames fall very much into the category that he won't be dealing with by the looks of it - quite understandable really, sadly

But whre does CC take the name like 'battenberg'? Surely that's not in the db, but it pronounces it fine (i.e. Battenebrg is 2 seconds behind).

i think it also has some text to speech algorithms behind it, as it often also pronounces names where i am pretty certain they aren't in the database

of course, the source code is available at https://github.com/mrbelowski/CrewChiefV4, though it looks like they've moved to GitLab and there is no access to the code there. You could always do your own sound pack
