My well abused DFGT has finally given up the ghost today, so I will pull out of this. No idea when I will be able to get a replacement wheel, so I will see what I can do in the comm box for the foreseeable

I have a DFGT that's just sitting in my loft, where are you based? Happy to let it go for chirpy chirpy cheep cheep to a good home....it's virtually new. I upgraded to G27 3 months after buying it.

so what's up with the AI in these cars?
at both tracks (Donny & Oulton) I have convincingly beaten the AI on 110% (except at Oulton in the rain where they are suddenly 4secs quicker than I can go in the wet.)
I can usually only race against the AI at 90%
(or maybe that Race School was better than I thought and I have actually got better??)

I was trying them on 100% in the dry and was about 2sec faster in qualy. Maybe they are not that fine tuned as in GT3/GTE class...Also, in the rain they are on rails because of there "bad" tire model.

Can somebody explain the situation on the results table for me?
How can current places 25-28 have 3 points although they all finished >20 place in the first race according to the table?

Well...I found out that there must be an error with the function you're using.. for places >20 it is calculating 1+2*1 = 3 although no points should be given.
It is not the problem only for current places 25-28 but for anybody who placed >20. Now they have +1 or +2 extra points which they should not have..
See the attached table..I believe this is how it should be.
Also have in mind that there are no additional points for pole position accounted here!

well that's that then...back to plan A for me I think.
after unusually being able to find the server straight away without restarting my pc I tried to join and the game froze so I had to restart anyhoo.
missed most of Quali in the process (not that I would have done muuch better had I done all of it).
would have started last had somebody not spun on the formation lap and put themselves behind me.
I got a good start and fought my way thru a bit (yes you read that correctly "fought" as in overtook!) and with some others spinning or going off track I made it up to 19th (woohoo) I would have been quite content to stay there for a while, I was close to the peeps in front and there was a gap behind. But circumstances conspired against me and had other idea's. I was struggling with the car. For some reason I get terrible wheel shake in this car (esp going round Shell Oils corner). I made some FFB changes before the race start to try and calm the wheel down but this left me with no feeling of what the car was doing. The car was awful over kerbs and was up on 2 wheels a couple of times.
A couple of laps in one of these kerbs put me in the wall, but too damaged to continue so would have required a pit. I didn't have the pace to come back from that so retired.

Also my pedals must have moved back when my mate came over to have a go (he has lead feet, and no idea how to brake progressively, so anyhoo since I broke my knee I cannot straighten my right leg fully and the pedals were just at that point where I was having to stretch it out of its comfort zone to get full throttle and my leg started shaking like a shakey thing being shaken up in a shakey shaker.
with all this going on there was no point even starting race 2.
