Hey guys,

as preorders became available are there any other VR Enthusiast who pulled the trigger? @Jeff[NL] and I could not wait much longer and already placed our preorders
Now we gonna need to invent a time machine and hop to end of September to get this piece in our hands

Will definitely share my first impressions here if I get the kit

Hi Exited, I just pulled the trigger and pre-ordered one as well. Watched this video and thought hell why not? Through his affiliate link I pre-ordered it in Germany (Bestware) and that saved me 90 euro's compared to the Dutch reseller. One Europe baby! . Excited to see how it compares to my Index.

This is a Windows Reality Headset, so doesn't need Index Base stations. It has inside out trackking with the build in camera's.

That youtuber also got it working with the Index Knuckles controllers and for this you will need Valve Base Stations.

its not 5k, its just a super ultra wide 2k (=
Gives you plenty room to 'grow' your system into.

If that's the PCARS2 video, he removed it as he said the quality wasn't up to standard and didn't look even close to what he sees from the Reverb G2. He will create a new video sometime soon.

Asked for replacement and got prompted it's not possible, checked the shop and it's now 70€ more than what i paid

And I thought the poor sharpness in the distance was a compromise from the Erazer X1000 that I got... Judging from that video the Rift S is even worse .
Not sure if I'd reccommend the G2 to sim racers judging by this. The 144Hz really does make things a lot better than that extra bit of resolution from my perspective...

The G9 is indeed postponed.

Seems like the glue failed at the top part of the monitor causing light to bleed out. Seems like a simple fix at the manufacture stage. Small issues like these occur with the latest, greatest n cutting edge of tech...
I remember both Asus & Acer were getting a lot of flak selling 100hz monitors but a lot of people were unable to get them past 75hz..
