Did the qualy and was able to put us into P4 with a 7.54 at 36deg track temp. Were surrounded by BMWs only, so definitely a good pace for the AMG.
@Jeff[NL] did a really good race opening. Stayed in P4, easy gap to P5, following P3 with around 2s gap, but this freaking BMW was not able to keep the car on track for one lap in a 4h. He touched the grass with his outside wheels at Galgenkopf (the irony...), spun into the barrier on the inside an then back onto the middle of the track, where Jeff had no chance to avoid him
Needed to tow and the Fast repair was gone in L1...
Then we both forgot about the missing Pit Speed Limiter and got a 40s stop and go penalty... After that we were like 3.30min down to the leader, but did 3.20h of straight qualy hotlapping (almost every lap below 8min, fastest 7.57) and at the end of the race we where only 2min down on the leader and finished in P6.
Besides L1, this was a really nice race, people in the slower car classes did behave quite good and lapping them was mostly cool Looking forward to the next one, maybe the BOP is becoming a little bit more fair, as the BMW is OP on pure pace and can do 8 lap stints with a bit of fuel saving, so we were kind of sitting duck with our AMG
P1 for the RSR TCR and P1 for the RSR GT3 (Split 12).
Was a rather chilled drive but obviously you still need to survive 4 hours of Nordschleife. A perfect first stint by @Rargon who had a constant fight with P2. We pitted one lap earlier to avoid GT3 traffic which gained us around 20 seconds to P2. From there we drove it home (@Puffpirat and me)
Our GT3 car had also a long battle with P2 but managed to escape as well. All in all, it is nice to finish a race again
