I just don't know what to aim for, especially in the wet with wet tyres. I've probably been paying too much attention to temps. I will have a look in Split 2 chat.
Nope. As per Puffy's post, the track is dry enough at the start of the session* to run on slicks and lay down a marker lap before it gets too wet to go really fast. For Puffy's reference, the lap was set about 7 minutes or so into a 20-minute quali session (after the session started, I ran nearly a lap before realising I'd forgotten to load my setup, I then did the outlap and 3 more laps before setting that time, so nearly 5 laps in total, plus pit exits and setup loading time). So you do a 1.10 in the rain on wets?
4. Leave it as is and realise that qualifying is going to be 10-minutes of insanity, followed by 10 minutes of possible boredom
further to that, its a extra 10 minutes to make sure the setups are correct and to get pit strategy's sorted. I would certainly be out on track looking for any extra knowledge of wet conditions.everyone will set their lap times early but some may do a 2nd run on wets to see if they can go any faster maybe hoping to make up a few places. personally i like the changeable conditions of quali, it makes it more tense and important to get a good first lap
im not sugesting we change things just set quali to 25 minz and have a 5 min ban for anyone then the track will be wet and no taking advantage of the dry track in the first so many minz its not a change its a compromise lolTo be honest, I think it's too late in the day to be changing anything now for this round - as I said earlier, changing it now will penalise those who have put a lot of practice in. Yes, some people will get lucky and will get a quick time in at the start of the session, but there's a 45-minute race to follow and, with nobody knowing what the random weather slot will be, anything can happen.
All we can do is learn from this for the future. I suspect we may be best off just running qualifying in the dry in future.
NB : This is my personal opinion and not that of the RSR Admin (of which I am not part of anyway!)
Sorry this one totally slipped. Yes that’s correct. If they run hotter they will leave the optimal tire pressure window on the top end, so you would want to lower the starting pressurewell from what i understand, @Puffpirat said for fuji if your tires are getting too hot then you lower the pressures but if too cold then you increase the pressures.
can you confirm this?
What are the issues?Probaly a no show for this one. Having some major PC issues
