My SteamVR disconnected or minimised during race. What a pity. First racing using headset, could have gone better. And definitely not in the racing groove, way too many mistakes.

Did anyone else get a massive lag spike in the second race? Cars just stood still.

@kobusnell i don’t use steam vr, but using oculus with an old pc and a gtx1070. I had no Performance or lag issues yesterday.

Anyway, the races were fun and clean from what I have seen!
Sad that there were only 16 people from 26 registered! (Only 9 made it to the finish line in the 40min race)
Edit: when I think about, the races weren‘t perhaps so clean when so few people finished. Or there were many technical issues.

^^^ Aside from the lower than expected turnout, yeah, the racing looked very clean from what I saw - I kept hopping from car to car to see what was brewing. I know there was one collision in the 2nd race but I missed what happened - I think it was whilst some lapping was happening (but not directly caused by those doing the lapping, I believe).

From a staff standpoint it was disappointing to see that, despite 23 people being signed up, only 15 showed up for the 1st race and of the 8 that didn't make it, only 2 have had the courtesy to let us know. Please do us at least the courtesy of letting us know you can't / won't race. We all know that life can sometimes get in the way, but a lot of effort goes into these events and it is disrespectful to both the staff and your fellow members if you simply don't show up. We also don't want to run into the situation where some members might not sign up for an event if they see that it is full, only to find 8 places were available on the night. Believe me, this is not something I wanted to have to raise but, given we had to cancel an event last week and now a third of the field not showing up, we cannot let this go unchecked.

Blundered on second race and retired but other than that. Fun races, cool car.

I just think the track selection was not the best...kinda of mickey mouse track for this cars.
