The secret to making it through a long race: lose a wheel halfway through. Then you have a nice mental break as you have a 10 minute lap on the way back to the pits :)

What a great race, i enjoy it allot even when i was fighting with silly for 10 place and a message from steam make me loosecontrol crash, lost a wheel and then lost 10 minuts and last position, oh and finally my screen froze when i was in the last lap in the last corner, i was already 12 but finish 14 because of that bug, great thing. Thank you all.

I'm shattered but that was enormous fun. Had a couple of incidents but, otherwise, that was excellent racing from all involved. Loved it. Thanks to everybody at RSR and PRD that took part :)

EDIT : Forgot to add, congrats to Puffy on the win, very well deserved. He had the better pace over the course of the race and after one of my incidents, there was no catching him. The first few laps were absolutely fantastic racing with him though, with just a few tenths between us. Just like Dubai :D.

Wow! What a fantastic race! Thanks so much to all who participated, especially the PRD guys for joining in. One of the smoothest, most respectful and most importantly fun races I've ever done. I don't think there was a single point in the whole race where I wasn't hunting or being hunted closely or riding the roller-coaster following someone around the mountain. Thanks so much to all the people I battled with, basically the entire mid-pact of GT3 in lobby two (Nooonotreally, @Morvic , GosuNoob, @Ashnoom , wrxbuddy - just to mention a few). It was a bit of a gamble choosing the Aston but I really enjoy trying new cars I haven't driven much before (even if they're off the pace) but it was reassuring seeing a few other brave soles not picking the McLaren and getting to battle with the Bentley.

I didn't have the greatest qualifying session, just not being able to string a quick lap together at 4:00AM and running into a bit of traffic, I qualified in P10. But after a clean start by everyone I quickly settled into a rhythm and felt super comfortable with the car finally - keeping it off the walls for many, many laps. Around lap 18 I had my first major incident at the turn 3 kink heading into The Cutting, the back rotating around after incorrect braking by me and then hit from behind by a car following closely. I held off pitting for one lap (which was a mistake in hindsight) and eventually came in the following lap after losing too much time due to the damage. This forced me into a two-stop strategy, simply repairing and changing tyres for the first stop.

I then had some clean air and fresh tyres to put in some of my quickest lap times and reel some people in. Just before my second stop I was sitting in P4 before pitting around lap 35-37 for fresh tyres and my necessary 74L to get me to the end. After this pit stop I somehow got all out of my rhythm and again the turn 3 kink was the death of me. I put it into the wall soon after leaving the pits which saw me take another tour of the pit lane for damage repair. Then again a bit later I did the same thing but by then I had seen enough of the pit-lane and just dealt with being 10km/h down on the straights. From there to the end I was the walls' best friend (much the the disgust of my radiator and water temp) but I managed to finish the race in a good position.

After the start, my goal was P6 - P5 if I had a perfect race. I got a bit worried as I slipped down to P10/P11 at some points but a last minute charge and pass on wrxbuddy allowed me to finish in the exact position I was aiming for P6!
