This is ridiculous, I struggle with setting the car up as it is, I just got it how I like and now i'm back to the drawing board again, mid week as well, why don't they do this shit in week 13 if they've got to do it.

Interestingly, the only thing I've changed that makes any real difference is to add one click of wing and I can now do the times I was doing.

Increase wing 1 click is not the way to go as you loose too much straight line speed, just going to have to find another solution

You have to add wing now no matter what unless you what a super loose car. B and or C wing is the way to go sadly. Straight line speed has been nerfed because of the changes to the draft.

But to be honest, in the past you drove every track A Wing which was far from realistic. From the sound of it I like the changes!

I don't mind the changes to the wing stuff it's that the rest of the setup has suffered. Making you have to find the sweet spot again is quite annoying.

With the new setup changes I have made I am now running back on A wing with no entry oversteer. Thanks to some of the folks on the iRacing forums for giving me some clues. :)

Although I was near the back that was probably the most enjoyable race of the week for me you really can race much closer with the higher SOF guys without fear of strange braking zones or getting rear ended.

Although saying that It got ruined by a guy that had smashed it into the barrier and then decided to rejoin the race track with a smoking car that pulled the car straight across the track.

and then on the last lap a nice rear end tap

@Bassets It's one of those races again with a lot of Iberians that don't know how to keep their distance or how to rejoin a track .. Wait, we know a British guy that doesn't know either.
Anyways, nothing you could have done in both cases, purely their mistake which ruined your race a bit.

Did a IMSA race with Mr.Beas and we were in the top 5. Sadly my race ended when a Merc spun on the last corner and stayed right on the racing line as me and another car came down. I missed him and went on the grass but could not save it and spun into the other side barrier. I was pretty mad about the whole thing while he just continued on. :banghead: Mr.Beas was doing well but put in 1L less of fuel and had to lose 3rd place and slow down to make it to the end. Hopefully tomorrow we have better luck.

@Mr Beas and myself did another IMSA race today. Both of us got hit with bad luck yet again. :banghead: We were 4th and 5th holding comfortably together until I had a dumb spin in the last corner due to the outside tires touching the grass. Spun into the wall lightly thankfully but damaged the wing and had some steering offset issue. Limped it to 13th while Beas got 6th.

One thing I'm finding is that during practice runs I can be pretty much just as quick as lower tiered top guys. During the race however I'm losing time due to not being aggressive enough with the lapping cars. My pace also seems to go downward after 10 laps or so. Probably doesn't help that the setup definitely needs some more tweaking plus everyone seems to be using the Merc for this track which I refuse to use. Oh well I redeemed myself with a decent second place in the 6:45pm race after spinning out in one of the corners lol. Had to fight that one back hard. Track was the hottest I've seen it at 104F. Ah well onwards to the SOF race tomorrow hopefully.:D

IMSA SOF Sunday Race. Did pretty decent. Made a slight judgement mistake in taking the Standard gearing and that hurt me in the front straight. Just another learning experience.
