Now he's got enough SF to afford some rollovers :D
It's not the SR that bothers me :D I'm more annoyed that I would have been at 1900 iRating if I stayed P2 but now I'm down to 1700's again.

You obviously turned into him. Wait was that you racing or @Battenberg? I think it was battenberg as that Ronnie C Gibbon was in the top 5! :D
Ahem, mr ramibob. 'Twas infact me driving and I will have you know I spent ages in that race getting past another Audi with 2.9k iRating for P2 to have it ruined by some retard in a Porsche with 1.4k iRating :hungover:

Those ratings are just numbers. Higher iRating does not make you a better driver @Gxbbs #iRatingoverrated :D :D

In some sense it does, but I know what you mean. Although the guy with 1.4k iRating was definitely retarded.

I've raced people who are 5K iRating, very very fast drivers and often win races by qualifying on pole and storming into the distance, but have very very poor race craft when it comes to driving in close proximity to others. iRating is just a cover, the pages are what the driver does on track.

I don't think I've ever seen so many memes crammed into 35secs.

I've been re-evaluating what iracing I do now, I still want to do BSS, but I don't want to do it all week. I've decided to make a concerted effort to drive the Porsche and also take part in IMSA races, with the option to do it in either the Porsche or Audi. This may open up more options regarding special events too.

IMSA is great. I usually don't run it as much but so far it's been the best series for me. BSS is really hit or miss honestly. I usually try to dabble into more series but it's hard enough to do 2 with all the practicing and making setups.

Really depends on what you enjoy driving and what the week has to offer.
I always pick between BSS or IMSA since I love driving the GT3's as my main series.
From next week on it'll probably be Nordschleife training 24/7 for me

When I did race in december / january I did Rookie street stocks in Charlotte every other week between BSS races. It's a nobrain series and quite enjoyable since it's pedal to the metal.

So are you back now Dutch?

Shame you didn't do the 24h, you wouldn't need any practice :p

Yeah, GT3 is my love, which is why I wanted to do IMSA as well, but I love the Porsche too, even if it's so vague at the front and a bugger to drive quick, but it's a challenge and i'm up for it. Thought Le Mans would be a good place to start seeing as there are not many corners :D Doing low to mid 4.03's, which I thought was ok as VRS was 4.01, until I saw 3.57's on the board :banghead:

I got a few parts today, tomorrow some will arrive but my case and powersupply will arrive after the weekend probably. It's a bummer I couldn't participate, but next week is Nordschleife BSS :woot:

Being within 2-2.5s on LeMans allows you to keep draft with a pack which speeds up your laptimes a lot. The 3.57 is an insanely quick time so it wouldn't surprise me if that was with draft.

So much for my first IMSA race, guy tried to outbreak me going into the Parabolic a on lap 1, I saw him coming so I gave him room, I turned in on the outside line he still punted me into the gravel. You would think by B licence they would be able to cope with the basics.

:(

Here is my logic for dealing with such situations.

If the drivers iRating is less than 2000 and their saftey rating is less than A2.5, then assume the following ...

They are driving a rocket with faulty ailerons and a failed gyroscope and adapt accordingly :)

It is quite annoying when you have these type of people who think they have the right to do as they please. I had a similar situation doing the Mazda Cup at Lime Rock Chicane, where I made a pass on the inside into turn 1 and the guy just decided to come from the outside and cut into me I fortunately had the suspicion this was going to happen and was expecting this but still I connected him and took him out unfortunately. But him cutting straight across my nose is something that is quite difficult to combat even when expected. That of course immediately made him angry and called me the IDIOT. I replied politely by saying, "next time do not cut in front of someone and hold your line instead then these things will not happen." Had no response from that and eventually I won the race without further ado. It is quite ridiculous when guys who are trying to keep up to you in pace when their average time is more than a second slower than yourself. Anyways I know how you feel but not much that we can do about it other than lay a complaint. This is much like when I started PCars and was only doing public servers before TGC and RSR. Until we are in the higher echelons in iRacing we have to expect this at all times. Even when we are up there we still need to expect this although it is far better.

I think, that everyone is a person, not robot. That is what i enjoy playing this game, you are not playing against AI. We all do mistakes, more or less. Yesterday i had terrible Porsche race.. Was following a guy, who was braking earlier, missing apexes and so on. And yeah, i managed to kill myself by hitting him from behind in fast corner of Le Mans. Next i was following another guy who was breaking like waaayyyyy too early, so i thought i will outbreak him in to inside of the corner, but he was avoiding another car and turned in to me... Lastly, guy spun in slow corner, on the racing line, i touched him and that was the end - disqualification... Race to forget. But still it is such a joy to play this game and i love the Porsche :)
