i have had some of my best races in the RSR, the only problem it has imo it can get really sketchy on low fuel in fast corners like 130R, but i can still really recommend it
The Big Boat Boi is also nice to drive but it seems that I am cursed in that thing and i always have bad races in it XD
i haven't driven much in the Fefe but it generally seems pretty popular

Not sure where to ask the question - therefore I use the chit-chat post.

Saw that RSR was participating at the "Winter 24 hrs at Nürburgring" event and therefore I wonder whether there are any plans to join the vVLN 2020 with a team? If there are plans would it be possible to apply for a spot there?

P.S.: Was doing the 24 hrs in the Porsche 911 RSR - with some bad luck at the beginning and my typically (not fast / but safe and consistent) performance at my second stints.

vVLN for the coming rounds already have a long waiting list.
2020 will open near october afaik as it's first come first serve or be invited. Which you can be if you are top3 in the Official VLN that iRacing runs throughout the year.

Not sure whether we are talking about the same league - for the one I'm talking about the sign-up for the 2020 season starts in January 2020! If you are talking about the vVLN from German Simracing where did you get your information from?

P.S.: obviously I'm not top3 in the official series - but do. get the message that racing with RSR is very unlikely

Hi ramdrop, yes that could easily be that you lapped us some time. But better on track than when we are in the pits. Do hope that I behaved as you expected :p
Will you do the next season GTE league at AOR? If yes see you on 01/06/2020.

Classic iRacing... I needed 3 more races to tick off under the D license events before being eligible and now all the series' have paid tracks :banghead: think @Jamesl91 had this problem so can relate.

However, given I now actively want to pursue iRacing and of course representing RSR as much as possible I thought I should bite the bullet. Luckily, Zolder is the track choice for both the BMW 12.0 Series (which runs the BMW M8 GTE) and the Formula 3 series and a track that I've always enjoyed to drive (bonus!). I was able to bundle the F3 car, BMW and Zolder into one saving me a huge $3 thanks iRacing

Hopefully now I'll be all ready for Bathurst.... and another three purchases, the 488 GTE, Bathurst and whatever GT3 car we go for. Bank = :dead:)

Bring it on!

PS. The BMW is a dream to drive around Zolder even with the baseline setup.

@CatchAGlimpse the safest choice for Bathurst and best to drive also for VRS is the Z4 GT3

I managed to do it last night! Less than 5 days to go from Rookie -> C 3.52. Makes me wish I’d have done this sooner.

Bring on Bathurst!

Did you start from the pits to achieve that?

On one or two occasions but I just aimed to get 0 inc per race. I was lucky my irating out of rookie was 1700/1800 (now 1872 or something) I was often in the top split for the mazdas so it was much cleaner than the lower splits which probably sped up the process.

Don't think for one minute that top split has more sensible driving.. im at 6.5k and the things some 5k drivers do still amaze me.

After my first four C license races to get up to B license, at Bathurst of all tracks, I managed a 12th, 5th, 1st and a 3rd.

Hello everyone! I want to get involved into iRacing and I just wanted to ask how much money I have to spent. (note: I already own the nordschleife,991 RSR GTE, 911 Cup, R8 LMS) I mainly want to drive VLN Endurance (doesnt matter bc I own the needed content), ELMS and the special events ofc. So my question is how much money do I have to spent on tracks or how many tracks do I have to buy?

Every car costs 12$ and every track 15$ +VAT. You'll get a discount for three and 5 things you buy ( I think it's 10 and 15%). If you own 40 cars and tracks, the discount is 20%. Plus the fee you need to pay for the iRacing service. That's roughly 10$ each month, but there are always discounts if needed.
What cars you need? Of course the cars you want to drive or the team is driving for a special event. Sadly the 991 and the Audi are not extremely competitive atm, but I think that'll change for season 2.
What tracks you need? Of course the ones for the special events https://www.iracing.com/specialevents/ (the next one for example is Sebring 12h) or what's next on the ELMS schedule.
It's hard to tell atm what track you need, because season 1 is almost over ( 1 week to go) and the schedule for season 2 is not out yet. I'm sure it will be out during this or next week.
