Yup I press that probably a couple of times a lap

Why so often? I use it only at the start of a race.
As soon as I've pressed it once when I got into a car, it stays centered.

Tested, incredible immersion, still have troubles with braking points because of fov and far objects aren't that clear, need to increase anisotropic filtering...

Well its not because I like pressing buttons needlessly :p

Maybe I move around - I dunno :)

It's worth forcing anisotropic filtering to 16X in the NVidia or AMD control panels because some of the elements (grass verges for instance) are bugged in pCARS. It has almost zero impact on performance.

What about the ResScale string in the oculus config file?

Depends on what GPU you have. If you've got a 980Ti or higher, try 1.50 and work from there - in an ideal world, you want 90fps at all times, but as long as it doesn't drop below 45fps you should be OK :)

Tried 1.50, when your driver's hands and wheel don't move smoothly means low fps i suppose :D

P.s. i tried the nos and you can actually see how damn steep is in some points :woot:

is it better 1.5 rescale and DS2X or vice versa? I have 1.5 and 2X.
Ha good question. I remembered SMS saying that DS4X is more efficient than normal supersampling because it's only used on the parts of the screen that really need it. So I just assumed it would be better :D

Just be aware, leaving the optimization for DS2/4X aside, DS2X and ResScale 1.5 is 3 times the Oculus resolution, DS4X by 1.25 is 5 times

About to purchase my Oculus Rift, can you purchase it without the touch things or are they required to operate it? Any other last minute suggestions on VR purchasing?

No they're not required. I haven't got them either.

Other than that... Have fun and don't drive backwards in the rift - you'll regret it.

But you can't purchase a rift from the Oculus website without the touch included?

They've changed the bundle recently. Also mine is a rental device (for now - will get my own eventually). I think you'll find Rifts without the touch controllers only at retailers.
