After moving all of the Fanatec boxes out of the way I thought I would share a photo of my 'man cave'

The photo of the M8, GTE is so I know my enemy for VEC/P1. And I have never even attempted cable management so I tried to avoid including that in the picture!

The pedals, mounted on my wooden pallet pedal stand, held down with cable ties. And some of the cable mess along with where I'm storing the wheels of the desk chair lol.

OMG i used to have 1 of those "Save 4 it" boxes when i was a kid! haha.

I've made a significant rig upgrade.

In the end i decided to go with the F1 bundle and the LCK, and the rim is very good. So far really happy with it. (Decided against the P1 bcs of the QR system - It's great to be able to take the rim off so quickly and store it - if you have a kid around you know what i mean).

Had some trouble mounting everything - my original rig was not solid enough for the new wheelbase, so i decided to mount it directly onto the desk (which is very solid) and to rework the rig - raising the chair. After some cutting, welding and drilling (and some final ergonomics adjustment) I'm quite happy with the result. I'm still waiting for the SHH shifter, I'll mount that on the table as well.

For the future a more comfortable chair would be nice (pillow stays for now !). I'll also follow the news on realteus forcefeel pillow. And then maybe a round fanatec rim some day as well ...

@t0daY LOL. Wait until you guys hear of the new sponsor we have. Another big name coming. I’m waiting on my Astars goodies from them. Really keen on trying out the karting shoes.

I forgot that I hadn't posted anything further since my simlab box arrived. Rig Mk2 finally accomplished.

There are still a few bits to sort out; some cable tidying, some presentation work to do to the mounting plates for the pedals and shifter and finally connect up the 5.1/7.1 surround sound speakers. Overall I'm super happy, and looking forward to season 6
