jonno - sometimes, we just 'click' with a car/track combo. It sounds like that's happening for you with the McLaren. I wouldn't try and over-analyse it, just go with it and enjoy :)

McLaren has turbo engine so it has a small advantage at nurb, i did 1.59 with sls for the event with a lot of laps and did same time with McLaren after 3-4 laps, Sls is very lazy at ngk chicane and mercedes arena while is superior in faster sectors, btw i blew the dust off my T500, if there's a gt3 spot for sunday race i'll gladly ram the dnf-chicken :D

^^^ That DNF-chicken is currently topping the pre-season table for race wins :p

I'll get some practice in during the week, I'm really rusty with the LMP2 cars but I know the setup I've made for mine is really stable - not very fast but easy to drive and should see me safely to the end of the race.

You don't have to post a time for GT3. Only if you desire to run LMP2.

Quick question. We will be driving using only real driving aids. Does that mean, that GT3 will be able to use ABS and TC?

Depends on the cars. The Z4 has ABS, TC and SC. The other GT3 cars have only ABS and TC.

I had a quick play last night in the rain and dry. I lost my old setup when I cleared my profile ahead of the Ginetta time-trial round, so created a new random setup. Managed to put in low 1m54 laps in the rain and dipped into the mid 1m48 in the dry, at night (when the tyres were struggling to maintain temperature), with a full tank. I'm going to run with this setup now as it was at least semi-drivable (though the night part was pretty slidey!) in both conditions.

Sad to hear :( Nothing we can do about it? Whats the problem with the computer? If you got any questions or need help/advice move to this thread, pretty sure someone can help you out :)

Managed to get a couple of hours today to play with the GT3 cars to make a decision on what to run. Normally my go to GT3 is the BMW M3, but that's banned :( out of interest why are there banned cars for the GT3 class?

I can't quite get the McLaren to do what I want. The Aston is pretty close, but after trying the Bentley, I'm sold. For me the stability of this beast means I should hopefully be a little more consistent. Just ran a 10 lap stint and didn't spin once, which is good for me. I'm running mid 1:55s with 30ltrs of fuel on board, which if Invincible isn't sand bagging on the time he posted, should see me being fairly competitive.

Just got to sort the rain tyre pressures out. Doesn't seem to matter what I do, within a 2-3 laps I'm in the 110+ temp scale on the rears. Tried running 1.90 start and 2.10 start, but always end up overheating. I know it's partially to do with wheelspin, but it's not impacting the dry times so much.

Any thoughts?
