So, I have a couple of stupid questions regarding this event. Having never done a proper endurance race like this there's a few things I want to know. When I'm not in the car do I need to be in the game? Is there any way to spectate?

No such thing as a stupid question!

When a teammate is driving, you are a spectator on the server. You can freely change camera to other cars, look up live timing, view replays and so on. You can leave & re-join at any time too (providing someone has control of the car).

There's 1 caveat if whoever is driving disconnects mid race. The whole team must leave the server, and then the first driver (as per the team config) must re-join the server first to reclaim the car.

I was going to try and stream for the first time, but I haven't tried it yet and I'm not sure my PC would cope.

Crazy opening session. Big pile up in T1, down to P46. Got back up to P30 then red flag. We didn’t have enough to time to get me back in the car so @Ricardo Macieira is doing this stint. At least the sun is out....for now. Not sure how the GT4 guys are getting on.

Well, online in this game is still fuc*ed up, server didn't allow me in the car and kept me locked to aston #808 with other teammates seeing me offline, no wonder ppl prefer iracing
