DHL claims they will delivery my rig replacement part today. If that's true, I'm definitely game for this one!

quick question for the pros: what is the ideal temp for the slicks? i get the 'a bit overheating' temp colour on the display at 70oC when usually this only occurs at 105/110.

Little help? tks!

Thanks for hosting a practice session last night @Darksi . I need to do some practice runs with a rolling start, so that I don't have a repeat of what I did at Nords, but I've got a setup that's nice and stable. Quali will be fun, as it's a tricky circuit to get the driver's side tyres up to temp, given that the only left-hand turns are slow ones, but the combo is an absolute blast. Properly looking forward to this race :)

Thanks everybody, this event is now fully subscribed. However, don't be afraid to sign up as a possible reserve driver, we usually get 1 or 2 dropouts on the night :)

EDIT : As a general reminder, don't forget that all rolling start races are race time plus 5 minutes. If you are practicing for these events, for fuel calculations, please remember to take this into account. The OP is now updated to reflect the additional time.

After reading a post about it in another ranked thread and because I practiced the start of the Nordschleife Event a few times, I can now comfortably state that our cool down lap that we are doing and particular the even slower and very early 2x2 formation is doing havoc and chaos to the tire pressures. At the start of the Nordschleife Event I had tire pressure beyond 1.93 bar, on my pratice where I started normally, I maybe once saw 1.92 and that was when I switched to wets early. Because of that the car didn't felt like in practice and therefore I had no confidence in it. And my pace was several seconds off. No wonder after races, in ts, ppl complain about the car feeling different than in offline practice.

Can we try to change the process for further events? We are doing this free formation lap for a few years now and I think ppl are capable of pulling that of at slightly higher pace and bit shorter time by now. I mean in the cup the formation was tight 200 meters after formation was called and we were crawling down the road like a massive moveable road block.

Didin't have time to practice that much but I have noticed that is hard to heat up tires, and if temp is low, my rear steps out very much even with high DF.....
