Pulling out as I didn't see that we're not using the proper spec '71 Le-Mans cars...why not?
I could have sworn it was the LH & S versions of the Porsche & Ferrari plus a bit of wet weather when i signed up to this event? Has it been changed since?

It hasn't been changed afaik, but the banner for this event is a bit misleading, as it shows the 917 LH and not the the K version

What do you need practice for? It's a damn long straight with some sharp corners and a few brown-moment-flat-out-kinks thrown in for good measure

It was these from the start, mainly because they are very close on pace.

Also Ferrari didn't run any factory team in '71. From Wikipedia:
"After the 1970 race, Ferrari set about improving the 512. Widened by 100mm, with an improved and lightened aerodynamic chassis, the V12 engine was also uprated to produce 580 bhp. The new version, the 512M (modificato) debuted at the end of the 1970 season with a win to Ickx/Giunti. The 512M modifications were offered to the customer teams, but not applied to the works cars as Ferrari had decided to give up any official effort with the 512 in order to prepare the new 312PB for 1972."

I posted to sign up yesterday evening, but the GT class is full. If that class is full, but come race day the prototype class isn't, will I be allowed to race in GT seeing as the lobby isn't full?

Still going to be fun as hell, why not race anyway? Admittedly we can only hit a measly 340kph on the mulsanne :O

You can indeed Eugene . GT spots are full (with 2 on the reserve list already) but there are 3 spots available on Prototype if you are feeling up to that challenge

You have served that penalty, as far as I'm aware so you just have the quali-ban and drive-through penalty to serve (in this race, if you choose to run)

Lol, I tried driving these cars and I'm having a hell of a time getting my act together. I don't have enough time to properly get used to them and I'd be more of a hazard than a proper racer so I'll pull out. One of the reserves should take my spot. Sorry for the late-ish notice.

If there is a GT3 list can I join that one as well? I think the ABS will help a lot when braking for the Mulsanne corner

Is anyone else experiencing a lot of clipping with these cars here? Any tips on how I might be able to reduce it?
