I'm not sure I can make this event. I've reinstalled Windows recently. Now I want to download Assetto Corsa, but the download speed is ridiculous. Steam doesn't go higher than 300 KB/s, the estimated download time is 1 day. Every other download speed is ok (speedtest, Firefox).
I've tried to change the download region but nothing changes.
You're a life saverTry switch your DNS to this and see if the download is faster?

That event yesterday was a perfect reminder why this car and me aren't best friends, to say it very gently.
Tbh I think there is something substantially wrong with this cars default damper setup (which as icing on the cake, isn't adjustable). Feels like this car has either no rear suspension dampers or the damper rebound setting is so damn wrong, can't really tell. At least for me this car isn't able to trailbrake the slightest tiny bit, because the weight shifts so much forward, that you really have to adapt to a quite weird driving of only braking in a straight line, let the car roll into the corner without any braking and accelerate quite early again. This feels always way under the real limit but as soon as I start to push more I'm about to spin (which I did couple of times yesterday )
What are your thoughts about this? Are you having the same problem?
Really enjoyed Donington in VR yesterday. That first corner is just awesome, feels so rewarding when you get it right, tons of fun!
Driving standards were pretty bad yesterday even tough we were only 10 people... People are crashing already in the first corner and in the first lap, divebomb in L1 like it is for the world championship and cutting in as I have never been on track yesterday... Not much fun!
I totally agree with you about the car's phisics. I also think that it's broken, but I couldn't figure it out why till you explained it.That event yesterday was a perfect reminder why this car and me aren't best friends, to say it very gently.

See you on thursday!

Yep, in that case (no damper adjustment possible) it should be better to have a really hard front suspension. Not really sure about the rear suspension. In theory it should be pretty hard as well, because the rear springs then would apply a counter force to the chassis because the spring extends which could stop the violent weight shift to the front. Big but, normally springs are already compressed when they are build into a race car, so could be a also the other way round. Depends mainly on the right hight imo.Yeah it is kinda wierd. I think @Battenberg after HOURS of practice found out that you the front suspension needs to be hard and rear very soft. That should help. In my experience the reason why its so hard to trail brake with is because of the brake balance. The default is 54 (I think) which caused me to spin everytime i tried. Adjusting it to 60 helped a lot for me.
I agree. Driving standings could have been MUCH better. (Including my own!) Regarding cutting, Donnington is just one of those track where who want to cut, can do it fairly easily. I that regard I wanna praise @MikeyTT who was behind me in race 2 and cutted in the fast "S" chicane. Just made him aware once, and never saw him cut the chicane again.
