All Drivers... The time has come to test your driving skills on tarmac AND gravel. For this evening I will be organising a World Rallycross Tournament event, based on the exact same rules as in real life. How does it work?
TL;DR You race 4 qualy heats. Top 12? Congrats you go to the semi-finals. Finish top 3 in semi final? You go to the final.
Qualification
Q1: 5 heats with 5 drivers -> drivers are placed randomly in a heat.
Q2: Heats are based on total racetime of Q1 -> top 5 Q1 goes heat #1 -> 6-10 go heat #2 etc. Total racetime makes up the Q1 ranking not your heat finishing position.
Q3: Heats are based on total racetime of Q2 -> top 5 Q2 goes heat #1 -> 6-10 go heat #2 etc.
Q4: Heats are based on total racetime of Q3 -> top 5 Q3 goes heat #1 -> 6-10 go heat #2 etc.
- A qualifying heat is 6 laps
- All drivers will drive a heat in Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4
- Starting grid is random, all 5 drivers start side-by-side on the finish line by game default
- In each Qualifying, one of the laps must be the Joker Lap. Those Drivers who do not take this Joker Lap will receive a time penalty of 30 seconds. The game will track joker laps
- The average best 12 drivers of Qualifying progress to the Semi-Finals
- All heats of a Qx will be driven at the same time. This means 5 different peer-to-peer sessions per Qx.
- The heat placement will be communicated by me
- I will appoint a Chief driver per heat which will host the peer-to-peer heat and communicate the results of their heat by screenshot afterwards. Lobby hosts can find the peer-to-peer settings and details in attached pdf below.
- 12 drivers - 6 per semi-final
- Starting grid is random and on a line
- 6 laps
- Joker lap is mandatory
- Top 3 of a semi-final continue to the final
- The semi-finals will be one at a time.
- The semi-finals will be livestreamed (and perhaps commentated) so all drivers can still enjoy the action.
