Ah worth to mention is that camber has significant influence on top speed. That was in most cases the reason Puffi was so often faster at the straights than me in season 3 :D ...

That is not realistic and should have been patched.

There are more obscure things happening, hence I recommend not to follow setup guides all the time :) (b2t, don't want to rape this thread :D)

It’s gotten better since patch 5, so we dared to leave it like that in the guide :D

In the GTEs for example I was only once running min camber and that was at Monza, and in hindsight not the best decision ;)

Nice stuff, is there a way to download the pdf instead of reading it from within Google drive?

I disabled downloads because I don't think reading it in a pdf reader adds much over reading it on the RSR website and currently don't want everyone to have the .pdf yet.

I followed the guide to try and create a setup for the upcoming AOR GT3 league race on Sonoma Raceway (which is probably not the best circuit to learn how to set up a car ). I'm quite happy with how my setup turned out but I'm struggling a bit with understeer in some corners and I would like to get some advice on how to best get rid of that.

In this video I show just two examples of my issue.

Turn 2, I get nice initial turn in but then the car just grips too much which results in me having to lift and lose time.

Second clip is not as extreme but it does basically the same thing but on high speed. I get good initial turn in, car grips and understeers and then starts to slide again (I want that slide throughout the turn). Didn't get a good clip in the few laps I recorded, but the same thing goes on 2 turns before this one.

Last point is that my car starts sliding in the second part of turn 1 (as seen in the first clip), any clue how to make that a bit more manageable?

Well let's break the car behaviour down, you are having understeer in the middle of a slow/medium speed corner and in a fast corner. The initial turn-in is good but after that the car goes forward. Looks like steady-state handling, you should look at your anti-roll bars. Check if both corners improve.

One thing to note is that corner 2 at this track is uphill, that means more car weight is on the rear tyres and less on the fronts thus making the rear more grippy and the fronts less grippy creating understeer easily. If it is a problem that is only confined to corner 2 and not in any other low/medium speed corners then it is more because of that particular corner. You can change your setup but that might mess up the rest of the corners that are working fine. If it is only that corner you should change your driving style approaching that corner, go later on the throttle and try to coast a bit more to keep more weight on the fronts. If you accelerate even more weight shifts backward making the fronts even less grippy. It also changes the story for the fast right hander, it then seems to be mostly an aero issue due to the high speed and you should refer to chapter aero to see what changes you need to make for understeer.

Exactly the pointers I needed, thank you very much!

Changed the arb's so the car is much more stable throughout the fast corners and T2 was mostly driving style as you mentioned.

Would be good advertisement. On the other side I think Nighttiger wanted to make it exclusice for RSR members. Tough choice hmm
This exactly was going through my mind today. THE COICHES

Before further considering posting it somewhere else online, are there any members that have read or used the guide in depth and can share their experience with me? Any mistakes or design choices you guys got questions about?

The content of the guide has seemed really solid so far. I used it to setup my car for last night's "Group Stage" over 1 evening and got pretty solid results from it that I think I could not have replicated in a week of testing before. In summary - it's been a great help

I think I could make some suggestions about language / introducing terminology and clarifying a few sentences that I think have come from a few different sources? For example I think CoG is referred to without explaining that it is (I assume) Centre of Gravity. Obvious if you already know...

@Nighttiger If you wanted comments of that level, I can DM you with things I noticed that could be refined...but mostly reading everything twice has got me through so far.
