Gxbbs was pestering me for screenshots for my Work in progress Button box.

So here you go, this is development revision 1 (aka ghetto box) :)

Just testing concepts with some rotary encorder for things like ABS/TC adjusment, 12 position switches for some function selection and switches for toggle operations.

Next step is to source some dials and the correct type of switches :)

well here we are as i said i would show you my results...

2x bucket seats.. in to 1 good working order.

so as i said when i received these chairs i didn't think to look at the legs on it until i was about to order my rig.
I got a bit of disappointment when i saw the one side was not what i wanted..

both sides i was hoping looked like this.

instead i had one side like this.
20170504_135649[1].jpg

gutted was my thought of the day. but then i had a cunning plan as i had 2 seats and only needed one id cut the legs of the other. So i set about it getting the POWER tools out i cut off the other feet
20170504_135715[1].jpg

once id cut the feet off both seats i set about lining them up with the ones already on there drilled the holes and bolted them on.

20170504_141300[1].jpg

then cut the bolts down and bosh done the legs..
I then decided it was now time to clean it up. got the sand paper out and sanded any rough bits off leaving me with an ugly under.

once id given it a wipe over to remove any dust and grease i primed it.
20170504_142143[1].jpg

then a few coats of black
20170504_143954[1].jpg

and finished off with clear lacquer.. another job done
now it was towards the finish line with cleaning the fabric had a very dirty seat with marks all over it.

20170504_142939[1].jpg

so yet again out come the heavy equipment IE my arms and some elbow grease...(and a steam cleaner lol)
Im pretty happy with the end result and has saved me a few quid on a new seat for my soon to be new rig.

Just a small thing that I have noticed on your rig Jonno is your screen is what 1.5m away from you if not more. Your field of view (FOV) might be influenced quite dramatically. I for one only sit 80cm away from my 40" screen and according to the FOV calculators my FOV is set at 58.According to a lot of people out there the FOV has to be correct for you to be better at driving any racing sims. Just a suggestion maybe rig your screen on some or other stand and get it closer and also roughly when sitting in your rig you are looking at the middle of the screen. I also used to have my screen way back until I read the "secrets" of sim racing FOV's. It immediately made a difference to my driving. Here is a link to what I am talking about Other than that your sim looks really good nice and compact and un-cluttered.
