Starting Procedure: Rolling Start, the lead car will lead the field through the formation lap. The speed limit for the lead car will be 50mph / 80kph. We are going to form up in a 2×2 formation at the red marker maintaining our 50mph / 80kph speed. Odd numbers will be on the right side and even numbers on the left side.

My paddles shifters have now stopped working completely, so I am going to be doubtful for this race unless I can get it fixed pronto, which I will be trying to do.

still have 6days! I had that problem with previous wheel, turned out to be the buttons on PCB that were at fault.

I have big trouble finding a good base setup ... especially because I'm just noob when it comes to advanced setup settings (Diff, Springs etc.)

It would be awesome if some of you could share your base setup - I don't mean specifically for Monza but like general so I can go tweak simple stuff like wings, fuel, radiators from there, plllllleaaaaaaase

your not the only one struggling. im struggling too over and understeer

Just cobbled together a quick setup and set about a cold time-trial lap (ie, compromised by cold brakes)


Will be no trouble to do 1m35s laps with a bit more practice. My car setup is basically the same as I ran for the time-trial events at Laguna and Seca, except for 0/0 wing and different gearing. As a time-trial lap the radiator is shut off completely - on that note, I had to increase the radiator opening to 80% for the Zhuhai race to keep the temps below 110. I don't run any profiling stuff, so I don't know what damage or power loss is caused by overheating but I wasn't going to take any chances.

I wonder if it's because of my high wing settings I was using. Anyway, it was an idle aside. I'll be running some proper 'race setup' laps in the race conditions before Monday, trying to get a better feel for the circuit (mostly the right braking point for the 2 chicanes).

Choice of gearing is going to be the most interesting element on this race I reckon

Is there any other gearing possible than slider totally on the right side?


And I saw that you had 299 Km/h speed at the end of S/F line.... I can make it untill 289 and that's it.... Better exit from parabolica?

Well, the choice is going to be between gearing for no P2P and/or a toe or leaving some breathing room to get past somebody, but compromising your top speed without.

Remember, that run was done with the radiator set to 0 and brakes set to 35% IIRC, so that will have helped. Gearing is also key and it took me about 5 or 6 attempts to nail down a set of individual gear ratios that I'm happy with

Definitely the gear ration is very important. I never touched individual gears i Pcars only main slider, but here is essential for top max speed.

It's hard getting a good gear setting. I can reach 279 without using boost. @Cluck / @Dama_The_Crow do you reach 299/289 without boost?

For the video I posted, you should be able to see the boost used. From memory, I use one shot as I grab 4th gear through Parabollocksah and then another as I take 6th gear.
