After the big successes of the RallyCross events, it is time for the CHAMPIONSHIP! This is round 1!

The first round of the World Rallycross championship will start at Knockhill, a pretty easy rallycross track, ideal to start off with and perfect for newcomers to hop into the competition!

TL;DR You race 4 qualy heats. Top 12 on average in Q? Congrats you go to the semi-finals. Finish top 3 in semi final? You go to the final.

Qualification

• A qualifying heat is 6 laps
• There are 4 qualifying sessions
  
• 5 drivers
  
• All drivers will drive a heat in all qualifying sessions: Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4
• Heat placement in the next qualifying session is based on total race time of all drivers in the previous qualifying session, guaranteeing balanced heats within the sessions.
  
• Starting grid is random, all 5 drivers start side-by-side on the finish line by game default
• In each Qualifying, one of the laps must be the Joker Lap. Those Drivers who do not take this Joker Lap will receive a time penalty of 30 seconds. The game will track joker laps
  
• The average best 12 drivers of Qualifying progress to the Semi-Finals
• All heats of a qualifying session will be driven at the same time. This means 5 different peer-to-peer sessions per qualifying session
  
• The heat placement will be communicated by me
• I will appoint a Chief driver per heat which will host the peer-to-peer heat and communicate the results of their heat by screenshot afterwards.

Semi-Finals

• 12 drivers - 6 per semi-final
• Starting grid is random and on a line
• 6 laps
• Joker lap is mandatory
• Top 3 of a semi-final continue to the final
• The semi-finals will be one at a time.
• The semi-finals will be livestreamed (and perhaps commentated) so all drivers can still enjoy the action.

• 6 Drivers
• Starting grid is random and on a line
• 6 laps
• Joker lap is mandatory
• The Final will be livestreamed (and perhaps commentated) so all drivers can still enjoy the action.

I'm really sorry but I'm out of this one, and most likely next week's round as well. It's a shame since this championship looks like a lot of fun - however, the new kayaking course I'm starting on Wednesdays is even more fun
